Wow Herc you read my mind. I was shocked the Amy Acker look-alike didn't make it to New York. Not only was she cute as a button she was also pretty funny. Too bad the stripper didn't make it either. And am I the only one who thinks Colin Quinn is horribly unfunny? I couldn't stand him on SNL and I hate his show. The few minutes of his act in Seinfeld's movie "Comedian" were alright, but otherwise he's about as funny as cancer. Speaking of, I'm wondering if the cancer-survivor just made it in because he mentioned that. He didn't seem that funny to me. Also the woman who's dad had a heart-attack made it.

Or did anyone else find that most of the female comics weren't that funny.. I mean Bonnie McFarland was pretty good, and so was the mafia jokes.. but other than that sue costello was garbage, same with that Fat high pitched woman... I dunno.. maybe it's a gender thing.. but anyone else think that most the women up there shouldn't be up there?

It was a game show scandal (which most of these reality shows really are anymore) that set new laws and guidelines. Why isn't reality TV given a set of standards? What a scam (and I agree Herc- Coles, Voss and Tess WTF?)

Man, I thought some of the judge's decisions tonight were AWFUL (except for not putting the stripper through, which is the best decision they made). But now that I KNOW the show is fixed, I have zero interest in watching any more of it. Shame.

They flashed it realy quick but there was a disclaimer that said something to the effect that the producers "may" have had contact with the comics agents prior to the show. It also said something about how the judges weren't just judging on the performance given in the show but also other performances that the judges may have seen in the past. That seems to be a confession of rigging the show.

It seemed like they kept most of the unfunny people. Pablo Francisco didn't get to go but some crap person is advanved. If Jim Norton doesn't win, I dunno what to think. He's obviosly better than everyone else.

Calm the fuck down. Nobody said anything about Ant being gay as either a positive or a negative, they just said they didn't think he was funny. That doesn't mean it's because they're biased because he's gay. It just means they didn't think he was funny. Period. That said, we already know that Norton doesn't make it into the house, he's said so himself on his website, eatabullet.com.

It was clear in last year's season that some of the contestants were Mohr's cronies. This season, NBC bigwigs were likely forced to issue the disclaimer because of it. Why bother to have this whittling down process if the NBC execs have a good idea who they want to compete in the house? Why can't they just present us with the contestants who are competing in the house--maybe give us a 5 min background on them, some of their material. At least the show wouldn't be such a sham. It would be clear that these were the comics that NBC thought would make for good viewing rather than go through the motions of setting up comedians who, although funny, don't stand a chance against Mohr's, the talent scouts, and NBC execs's cronies and favorites.

We all have our favorites (mine being Frank Sant.) ... but clearly ALOT of the choices came down to 1) Who will be a pain in the ass in the house 2) Who is young and relatively unknown (thats why Frank, Wiggins and Durst didn't make it). 3)Getting a good "balance" of ppl. There should have only been 3 women total to move on. If Ant was straight, he wouldn't have made it. Does it really matter? Because the talented guys will still have a career ... and the guys who suck and move on will not (Exactly where is Dat Phan now?)
