If I didn't have to fill out dome goddamned registration form to see it. This is the second time recently there's been this kind of a link, and it's kind of annoying. Along with that link to the whiskey site with some supposed hidden Will Ferrell thing that I didn't have the patience to look for. The only other thing I can say is, Danny Glover with a rifle--I'm getting too old for this shit.
i agree. new link please

Scary, dark, weirdo stuff definitely. Love the guy in the mask. Real frightening. The only thing with scary masks - is that beneath it is just a human face, so it's not really that scary at all - unless it's possibly Leatherface. Be cool if that face was actually real. Imagine how genuinely terrifying that'd be. Remember how scary murerous dolls are? Oh and Harry? - Love the Server!
The film sounds promising, this trailer, however, is total unwas

What the fuck is wrong at Lion's Gate? The buy the rights to absolutely kickass genre fare with pleasant regularity and their DVDs are usually damn good. But their trailers all suck. That's an understatement. And it hasn't anything to do with their takeover of Artisan because even before that their trailers ranked with the very worst in the business, right down there with Miramax and Dimension Films. The CABIN FEVER trailer was shit and totally misleading, the trailer for OPEN WATER makes it look like a sci-fi movie of the week and now along comes SAW which for all the world makes the film look like a third rate direct-to-video piece of slasher-trash. Lion's Gate, for the love of god, fire the hack who cuts your trailers and replace it with someone who knows how to edit these things!
I watched this trailer the other night

Downloaded it from CHUD, because I could actually connect to their server. What a novel concept. AICN might want to look into that sometime. Anyway, the trailer was kinda creepy and disturbing. Not sure if I really want to see the movie. I'm just not as interested in gratuitous gore as I once was. Guess I'm getting a bit more squeamish (sp?) in my old age. *sigh* Stupid growing up...who needs it. Later.

I had planned on sending in a review to this site, but did a search and there was already a couple reviews here. Anyway, a screening of this film was offered in Las Vegas where I live and I went with 2 friends. We all agreed - plot holes abound and Cary Ewes (sp)was AWFUL. OH, and Danny Glover is an extraneous character that bored the fuck out of me. I especially enjoy one scene where Ewes is being dangerously stalked and knows something is up, i.e. feels himself to be in danger. He goes to a hotel room to meet a co-worker and debate whether or not he should cheat on his wife. He walks in and immediately gets a phone call. No one supposedly knows he is there, thus he - with a puzzled look - answers the phone. It's the killer but we don't hear what is said. Ewes puts down the phone and, totally unpanicked, he says "I have to leave" and walks out. The film then moves on like a Twilight Zone episode and the entire occurence is forgotten. Corny. Yet, the way the killer does his victims reminded me of the movie Seven and the very end has a twist that is unexpected, if totally hollywood. Those are the good points. The bad can be summed up with this: Cary Ewes tries to do drama here - you should see him try to cry. LOL.

I know the trailer is kind of so-so, but when I saw this movie at Sundance it was so kick-ass. My brother and I had so much fun and were so riveted and tense through the whole thing, even though it was a midnight show and we were exhausted. It's unapologetically over the top, drawing from and making fun of every serial killer movie that has come before it, but still being as scary as anything I've seen in a long time. I'm glad this one is not being overlooked and headed straight to video. You need to see this in a dark theater and grab the person sitting next to you and scream and laugh and...you get the idea. I can't wait to see this again. That link listed above IS better quality: http://download.ifilm.com/qt/p ortal/2642103_200.mov
This movie tries too hard.

Gimmick murder flick, guh. What did Donald Kaufman write this? And whats with the trailer saying "HOW FUCKED UP IS THAT!?" That is just plain stupid. Why are you asking me? You're the movie. They're trying to oversell the twistedness and it just comes off as desperate.
