the old tv guide interview with joss said he had her written in the second to last episode but she could only make the final episode. but he didn't want to take the focus of that away from the angel crew, so he nixed that. my theory is that she would have basically been in the nina role.

Whedon did want Gellar for "The Girl In Question." They tried to film GiQ and Power Play in reverse order to fit into her schedule, but they couldn't do it due to sets.

sorry buddy you are wrong. here is my proof: (http://www.drakh.net/index.ph p?do=news&id=304&series=1&stan dard=&start=#item304) According to TV Guide Online, Sarah Michelle Gellar will not be in The WB spinoff series Angel's final episode after all. Gellar was reportedly asked to appear in the second-to-last episode, airing May 5, but was working on her upcoming supernatural movie The Grudge while that hour was being shot. Gellar was reported to be free to appear in the finale, but Whedon told he didn't want the send-off to "revolve around a guest star." "We will deal with the issue of Buffy and how much she means to Angel and Spike, but I want to end the show with the people who've been in the trenches together, the characters who have lived?and occasionally died?together: the regulars." "Angel and Spike arrive at an understanding. That's all I'll say about that," executive producer Jeffrey Bell told TV Guide. "And without her being involved, Buffy's character has come to some sort of understanding, too."

what an AMAZING episode that was tonight!! Thank you thank you thank you Joss and writers...for bringing Cordy back...one last time. For having her play that last essential role in the end of ANGEL. She deserved it!! Truly a proper farewell to such a beloved charector.*******I was furious w/ what i heard from ANGEL and what i saw happening to him. But the speech he made to his crew in thetime loop gave me the breath of air i needed to see that our ANGEL had not reverted to either Angelus or our lets kill everyone Angel from season 2. The whole time it was a skilled plan coordinated by Angel, Cordy and the Powers to show the Wolf, Ram and the damn Hart who really runs the show...!Amazing...simply amazing...and lastly...Herc...where si the 5th star?! Seriously? This was just dripping of 5 star goodness. It had the perfect mix of all things that make Angel picture of tv perfection that it is. Now if you'll all excuse me...i must go rewatch this episode. later days

Think about it, last week's episode was all about Buffy. Power Play has zero to do with Buffy. Therefore the logical conclusion is that if SMG had guest starred she would have turned up in The Girl in Question.

Great to see Izzy playing raquetball. Great to...motherfuckeR, Angel is fucking great. How the fuck can it go off the air. Explain to me how, when the show bent over backwards to overhaul, even firing a beloved cast memeber, establishing stories that Charmed could rip off but could nver execute in such an elegant manner. The show is class. It has a wealth of emotion. When it looked like Angel might kill Lorne I felt shocked and betrayed. Fuck you network tv. Fuck you.

Is the finale 2 hours?? I don't think which really sucks, because what they are doing now with the plot could almost be like the same basic plot as the two towers and then leading into return of the king. Angel did the fellowship of the ring part already. It's sad that they have to cram all this climactic stuff into 1 hour of television. But I'm sure Joss can pull it off. I'm soo looking forward to firefly the movie.

It may well be bs like most Angel rumors seem to be,but this was posted on the Moviehole site today:......There is good news though. James Marsters recently told reporters that that he could be spraying the hair white again for a ‘Spike’ Spin-off. We heard from a reliable source overnight who backed up this one. “It’s about the only thing that’s likely to happen at this stage. Marsters is pretty keen to keep on being Spike. You can’t blame, it’s a cool character. They’re looking at shaping the telemovies around him, only because Boreanaz isn’t that interested, not because Spike’s the more appealing option.

This was without a doubt a good episode but seemed a step down from the hilarity of The Girl in Question. This episode struck me more as a setup for the greatness that will come next week. This line however made the episode for me...Drogyn: "It's a challenge... some sort of task. One must collect these crystals. And... fruit." I also found Hamilton's beating of Illyria very disturbing, not saying they shouldn't have done it cause it was a cool scene but it just seemed wrong for a guy as huge as Baldwin to be kicking the shit out of Amy Acker. The ending with all the members of the team raising their hands gave me chills. Can't wait for next week.

But the rumor of a Spike Spin-off...i think i could deal w/ that. Its a Whedon show...is the Buffy-verse...and im sure ANGEL would gues star...maybe even SMG...IF this ever happened...i think i could be on board w/ that. I guess we'll see what the future holds.*******My personal prediction...about the finale...is that Wesly is gunna die...andGunn is gunna live. I know the rumors are the both die...but i think Gunn is gunna live...but am...sadly confident that we will see the last of Wes next week. Not something i am all together thrilled about.*******I am also wondering if this will REALLY end on a cliff hanger...i mean...we are hearing that these TV movies are in talks...but no real progress is being made at all...and it is an "open ended" ending as well...so i am going to assume there will be closure. He said you could literally see the guys 15 minutes come and go... One thing bothered me about Angel tonight. If the Way-to-Young-to-be-a-Senator lady is so connected why does she need Wolfram and Harts help to eliminate an opponenet? Unless the whole was just another tests to see if he really went evil. And isn't Drogyn supposed to be immortal? Kind of pointless being immortal if a broken neck could do you in. Loved Blue's little X-Box speech. Its my sentiments exaclty.

Even though most of us know Conner has gotten his memories back, the old demon dude pretty much confirmed it tonight. I cried at the end of Buffy and I'll cry and the end of Angel. That load of crap, mass produced, horribly written and even worse acted show that comes on after Lana, er...I mean Smallville. If a WB show ain't got Lana in it, I ain't watching it. Jesus Christ on a pogostick! Happy Harry doesn't like Angel so much that he read an AICN article about Angel and then wrote a Talk Back about it? Get this, Happy Harry referred to Smallville as "that piece of literary and cinematic excellence." LMFAO, Smallville is the same fucking show every week. They must have a blank script set-up like MadLibs. (Proper Name) gets into trouble when they accidentely stumble onto (Lionel or Lex) Luther's secret (scheme of some sort). Meanwhile Clark has to save (cast member) from a Kryptonite irradiated (young person) who can (magical radiation power) and tries to kill Lana (and possibly someone else). Clark wrestles with telling Lana about his secret when (horribly contrived plot device) convinces him to clam up and just smile real pretty like...... Can't argue with seeing more of Lana, of course now that she's going to Paris I guess there's absolutely NO reason to watch Smallville anymore. So as Angel hits it stride in a big way and get cancelled?!?!?! and Smallville continues down it's predictable path I'm thinking WB is getting erased from my channel list too. nuff said.

I was surprised that he was apparently a sacrificial lamb that no one seemed upset about killing during the episode. That idiot Wesley is still looking for someone to blame about Fred's death for Christ's sake, and Angle wanted her death to mean something, but Drogyn was just a means unto an end? That seemed like a misnote, and it's probably a set up for something (I hope). I'm also surprised I haven't seen much of a reaction to it on the net so far. It was definitely him though. He had been mutilated and shaved, but it was pretty damned obvious that it was the same actor (resemblances to Dr. Romano aside). The Black Thorn--which takes me back to Shogun BTW--seemed to know a lot about Drogyn too, so I assume they knew how to overcome his mentioned "immortality." I'll be surprised if he pops up next week saying "oh, I can't die by the way," and the Black Thorn goes "no way!" Maybe there's a different catch. I don't know, but shit, I wish we had a sixth season to see a proper development of Drogyn and the Black Thorn. You just know there were big plans for everything. This season has been so great that it kills me we won't get another one. WB is "fresh" all right. Fresh shit.

At first I was a tad bit disapointed, but then on revieweing I found "Power Play" to be another A+. It actually does connect the events from a lot of the episodes this season, that I thought were simply stand alone (Hole In The World, Time Bomb,The Girl In Question,You're Welcome, and pretty much the whole season except for the crappy WW2 THE MISSION, episode). This show was different from Buffy because it was film noir, or a detective show. It makes perfect sense that it's next to final hour, that it would be a detective show. Obviously Team Angel trying to find out if one of their own has gone bad. I think that this seasn if fantastic, and that Four and Five of Angel are right on par with the best of Buffy Season Six. Anyways, im a retard, and im wondering what everyone's take on the last shot was. Did Hamilton(the new Eve) know what they were up to? Or was it simply showing how closely they are being watched? I figured at first he was tricked, but then in vieweing the significance of the last shot, am wondering if he knew what Team Angel was really up to or not. Anyone got any thoughts? Anyways, Great Sopranos, Great 24, and Great Angel. A pretty stellar week, and hopefully next weeks are all as great. Though The Jets on 24 had me laughing my ass off.

#1...happy harry...shut the fxxx up and get off of this talk back. This is the last episode to MANY peoples favorite show...and u making your stupid comments only makes you look like an immature piss-ant 13yr old who creams himself over the girl he can never have b/c in real life he is nothing but a pathetic nobody loser. You have commentsto make...save them for someone who really cares you moron. Now that thats out of my system...*******About the well-keeper. My guess is he is dead. Angel at this point is willing to sacrifice anything to take a stab at the senior partners. My guess is he had to sacrifice him to get close enough to truly do what he plans to do and kill them al. He already has an understanding that there is the possibility that they will all die...and i think w/ him being dead now (the well keeper that is...) he has a better understanding of what ANGEL is doing. Thats my theory...he was just another sacrifice to ensure that ANGEL could kill them all.*******Next, I want to apoligize...i was one of those questioning the placement and well...every aspect of last weeks episode essentially...and after having seen last nites episode...i now understand its importance...so much so to the point that i wentand rewatched it b4 i rewatched last nites. Though i still think the episode would have been MUCVH more enjoyable b4 the return of Cordy....there is alot of significance in it. I see that now and express my sincere apologies for those i fought w/ over this. Forgive me?*******Lastly, im sad to hear that DB no longer has an interest in such things as the TV movies (as stated in the TV Guide interview which can be founf at {sorry herc} www.slayage.com). He did say that he would LOVE to do a movie movie if all of the things were right...but as of the moment no interest in a tv movie. This i think further supports my theory of having some clossure at the end of this next episode...and not leaving us w/ a total cliff hanger. I guess only time will tell.*******Lastly...SPOILERS HERE...Hamilton does see thru the ruse...b/c as shown on mediasharx.com pictures...we see Hamilton fighting ANGEL in the Wolfram and Hart building...to the point where Hamilton almost stakes him. Here's hoping that ANGEL kicks the CRAP outta that guy...I love the charector...but would love to see him dead as well so I can at least stomach the charector of Jayne as I sit thru Serenity opening nite next summer and not remember how we no longer have ANGEL. Who knows...maybe we'll see an ANGEL movie yet! I'm sure hoping for one!!*******Lastly...for those of us who are in collage this week...ARE FINALS A BITCH OR WHAT??? I'll so glad after Saturday is over (yes i have a final on sat...dont ask me...ask the UW system!!!!) later days

Its not cool to rip on her for her person belief's getting in the way of her acting. The woman works in a profession where she isnt gunna get many GOOD jobs b/c of those morals. But at least she stands up for them. That puts her on the line. She lives what she believes. And then when she takes jobs and acts the charectors she does...she doesnt compromise what she believes to make a buck. In my mind that makes up the charector of a person far more than anything else. And that kind of true charector was in the part or "person" of Jenny Calendor. Ms. LaMorte can at least be honest when she says she put herself into her charector on screen. I mean would Jenny Calendor have been the same charector or had the same impact had Robia LaMorte not not compromised what she believed. I HIGHLY doubt it. The chaector of a person helps make up what they put into a charector. So just be careful making rash judgments about what some one believes. She's not holy-er than thou, just sincere and honest. later days

I think the Blue Meanie reference might have been a shot at the guy who wrote that fake Angel spoiler thing last year. He just directed a movie which starred pro wrestler Brian Heffron (who is known as The Blue Meanie) and is supposedly doing a TV pilot for a show about warring angels that sounds suspiciously like a Joss Whedon knockoff. Boreanaz does not sound the least bit interested in returning to his Angel character (or maybe that's bitterness.) Gellar has had a full schedule (and am I the only one who thinks Whedon & Boreanaz are mad at her for being too busy for the show?) The only one who seems interested in returning to character is Marsters and maybe Brendon. I heard no new Buffyverse related media until at least 2005 and that sounds overly optimistic. I am getting the strong sense that the series finale of Angel will be the end of the Buffyverse on TV or movies. I hope I am wrong.
