to use the kids' terminology, it be waxin' all the mad flavas. there are two different cuts available, so buyer beware when you're looking for the dvds. the film's reminiscent of the seven samurai, but with a korean-chinese flavor to the proceedings.

i wanted to buy the latest flick from the guy who did perfect blue. i can't remember the name. not tokyo godfathers, but the other recent one. also any other anime you could steer me towards. i'm a bit of a veteran in the anime stakes but recently i am out of touch a little and don't have time to keep up. thanks.

Appleseed looks like it's gonna kick some action ass, at least. They've changed just about all the human characters' designs, though: Deunan now looks like somebody from Final Fantasy (is it the same character designer from FF VII? The guy for the in-game graphics, not Amano Yoshitaka). But Briareos, everybody's favorite cyborg bunny-lookin' brother, looks damn good...
