I really thought El Mariachi and Pi would be the last ones. Not to say that no good movies come out of Sundance but the average broke filmmaker with a shitty camera and deep credit card debt can't afford Patricia Clarkson or Brian Cox. It's good to see that a few still slip through even though the "indie" studios are afraid to pick any guerilla-style movies up because there's no guarantee that it will do as well as Blair Witch.
Primer: The best time travel movie ever?

I saw this at Sundance, and the best thing about it is the intelligence with which it presents a workable theory for how time travel might exist without the massive paradoxes. Basically, people can exist at multiple times simultaneously, i.e. I might exist now, at 12:00 pm, while another version of me exists at 5:00 pm later today. Primer deals with what happens when there are future "you's" who have knowledge of your future.

the best thing about Primer is that is does not dumb-down. it's like a hot woman who won't quite chat you up but you still know she's interseted and then it pays off big time in the end. this movie is tough and has enough respect for the audience to challenge that audience for a good ride.

The man might be a cinematic multihyphenate, but that doesn't mean he's good at what he does. You can see every penny spent on EL MARIACHI. Don't even get me started on SPY KIDS...
