The movie does look boring. Really, the plot would be at home at Cinemax after dark or on that eye level rake shelf at Blockbuster next to Naughty Neighbors and Lepruchan VI: Back in the Hood.

What does the man have left to write about? I guess his second book could provide reasonable material for an intense study of the (relative) boredom of going straight, or perhaps a potrayal of the paranoia associated with being a famous rat. Either way, the story (and subsequent film) will be somewhat removed from the original Wiseguy/Goodfellas mob antics.

Found the film to be quite boring, tried to hard to shock and all a bit obvious - which is pity as the the reviews had built it up into something worth seeing. Oh, and another thing, If I want to graphically see a guy getting his d1ck sucked then I will watch porn this was totally un-necessary

This is one weak film. Weak as in being a pretentious facsimile of thrillers like Sea Of Love. Fuzzy, dark, out of focus shots included to make the film aesthetically pleasing don't change the fact that the ending is about as classy as D-list serial killer crap like Kiss The Girls and Copycat. Still, I did get to laugh at a couple of scenes: Seeing Ruffalo sticking his face up Ryan's arse was a chuckle, as was the scene where Ryan finds the corpse of a loved one... and starts hugging the decapitated head. That cracked me up. Shite.
