Naruto kicks ass. One of Studio Pierrot's coolest works. It's nice to see a character who ISN'T uber-powerful and overly-dramatic to the point of stupid in an action anime. I do hope they release the anime...right after I get all the fansubbed eps. -RW

Oh yeah, Disney try and dub this? I can see it now: "Those aren't genitals, they're balloons!! Organic...balloons...from the crotch...yup..." Either way, Pom Poko wasn't one of my fave Ghibli Films. Glad that Nausicaa is finally coming out. Yay. -RW

Week after week I read the anime column on AICN, but there are NEVER any talkbacks for anime. Big O season 2 has the distinction of being the only anime that a US network has ordered new episodes of for late night broadcast. It actually looks like it may become a franchise for Cartoon Network. Couldn't AICN go a little farther in it's anime coverage and have a talkback for Big O's season finale, which airs 11pm Sunday on CN's Adult Swim? Come on, live a little!

For at least two years now I've been saying that Natalie Portman should be the one to voice Nausicaa, Miyazaki's greatest heroine, in English. ANd Uma Thurman was in my top five choices for Kushana. Damn it feels good to be right. This really makes my day. Come on Disney/Ghibli, you've got a customer in line already, GET THOSE DVD's OUT HERE NOW!!!!
