Guzman is one of the best character actors out there. Any time he's in a movie, that film is that much better. Hoping this show tanks big time so he can do what he does best

But I won't put down the actor. He's pretty damned good in the few roles I've seen him play. Sadly, this probably won't help his career. I predict this show will be axed before the season finishes, same as Whoopi. They're like the reverse of All in the Family and many Americans just won't stand for that and go off bitching and boycotting,; the rest will just not bother.

Leave Luis alone, man. He's great a character actor that I first saw in NYPD in the 1st season (the only season I ever watched). Why should not he grab the bucks while it's offered? Gee, is George Lopez soooo much better? It'll probably tank, but he get some greens, some more exposure. I bet the the people ragging on this show- are secret Ned&Stacey fans.

Luis the show had just poor timing on all the jokes. The white guy layabout painter has a horrible voice. Luis also squels everything. The jokes weren't really funny. And the white guy acting black that Entertainment cited is not that sterotype, the white guy is more like a creepier screech character. Someone with facial ticks and a high voice. He's not acting black though.

Guzman is one of the most interesting looking actors around. His appearance fits the sour, Becker-like viewpoint. A lot of negative, I'm-so-put-upon posturing, but, you get a peak that there can be a PAINFULLY sweet guy on the inside. Guzman can stand still with his eyes closed and instantly look stronger and more believeable than a sitcom character is supposed to be. Why do a sitcom? It may be the easiest type TV show, for an actor, around right now. Hour long dramas are a time consuming ball breaker for the actors.
