He's one funny hombre. Not funny enough for me to fly to Georgia, but still funny.

His "Gary Blevins" riff, if you've heard it, is unforgettable.

Patton, if you put the Gary Blevins bit on this cd, then I will buy a copy for myself and for all of my friends for Christmas. Of whatever year it comes out. Which I hope is this year, but still. GARY BLEVINS!

That said, I have no clue who this guy is. But you should make at least one trip to Athens and the 40 Watt at least once in your life (or go to college there like I did).
Patton Oswald may be the funniest stand-up alive.

The other day, I was seriously asking myself: "Who's the funniest stand-up alive?" I'm a shitty, struggling stand-up comedian myself and such questions keep me mentally occupied for hours while I make sandwiches at the Subway. For me, I think its between Oswald and Louis CK. There's only a few others who belong in the highest ranks of working stand-ups: Brian Posehn kicks ass. Mary Lynn Rajskub is amazing. Jim Gaffigan never fails to make me laugh. Of course, Jon Glaser and Jon Benjamin are brilliant. Harland Williams still makes me laugh like I'm 12. Judah Friedlander once made me lose my shit laughing, (but I was really drunk.) Then there's Garafalo, Seinfeld, Rock, Cross, Odenkirk, Stewart, Cedric, Sykes, MacDonald, Quinn, and all the others who've found great success and/or failure as TV stars. But, for my $10 dollars and two drink minimum, Patton is the funniest. I wait for his album with bated breath. "My grandfather started this magazine with dream...."

Patton's TiVo bit nearly made me die laughing a couple years ago at Irving Plaza in NYC. The Mp3 on his site of his Conan appearance is not NEARLY as funny as it could be

How many people do you think, now armed with the knowledge that Patton's stand-up will be recorded, will laugh obnoxiously loud so they can recognize themselves when the CD comes out?

Yeah, he's been on the Conan. He's a pretty funny guy. On a sort-of related topic, has anyone seen Kevin Brennan's special on Comedy Central? That's some funny shit, especially the bit about the elevator.

PO's section on www.bobanddavid.com is so fucking priceless. Go read Erik Blevins' treatments, and have tissues nearby because you'll laugh that goddamn hard.

I just got to the bottom of the first page of "Unseeable Fear" when I ran into pure spun gold: "They have a Weejee board wired to a future-computer, and they're tracking the possessing demon." FUCKING GOLD!

This guy is one of my favorite stand-ups. His bit about William Alexander (The german guy with the painting show.) is absolutely hilarious. He did it at the end of a half hour comedy special that was on Comedy Central or HBO. FUNNY!!!AS!!!HELL!!! This is the only time that I can ever remember wanting to be in Georgia. L.H.Puttgrass signing off and heading for bed!!

This is my 1st ever posting on this website!!!!! Do I win something? I was gonna post something about Gigli, but wanted to save my first talkback for something positive. Patton Oswalt is hysterical. Why he is not bigger in the comedy scene is beyond me. If you think he is just dopey "Spence" on KOQ, then you are sorely mistaken. Every time....every time.......I see this guy on TV he kills. Destroys...Maims...Why doesn't Comedy Central show more of this guys standup routine? They keep showing the "frat boy retard mentality humor" of Dane Cook. My only guess is that Patton's humor can be somewhat "intellectual"...and heaven forbid putting something on the air that makes people have to "think."

..especially when he's on Conan-"This cheese sandwich isn't grilled..SHIBBIDIDU!!!!" As for Conan, although very little is ever spontaneous,I love the guests that come out and just destroy the show, like Harland Williams and Scott Thompson always says something horrible to get Conan sweating.
