sorry about the lameo test post. My last few postings seems to disappear after I type about a thousand words and I realize now it is just a loose nut behind the keyboard. I have reservations about this new live action Evangelion movie. After 24 epidsoes of the main story and them three or four versions of the ending, ENOUGH ALL READY! I love Eva as much as the next otaku but it is time to move on! But ADV does not consult with me and the success of "Hulk" has proven that people will spend money on a dark comic-based movie, so it looks like it is going to be made. But as I understand it, Hideki Anno will not be involved. I imagine the Children will probably be aged a bit to college aged for the puritan market. I hear that they are trying to get backing for a $100 million film. So, that will mean some Hollywood stars. Maybe a digital regressed Gates McFadden as Asuka, Ellen DeGeneres as Rei in her first all dramatic role, Courtnry Love with her darkened as Misato, Jeff Goldbaum as Gendo, and John Cusack as Shenji? I saw the whole Cowboy Bebop series. Rather uneven. Some were absolutely wonderful. Some were just so-so. "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" is one of those so-so ones. Need a whole lot more Fey and Ed, IMHO. And the ending (which takes place after the movie). Damn, I hating the ending. So, sad. Not as sad as the ending of "Crouching Tiger, Hiding Tiger" (just jumping into the abyss and throwing you like away pissed me off to no end) but almost.

I, for one, would like to see the live-action evangelion movie made. The benefits from such a film could include:1)The American public finally understanding that anime aren't just cartoons and can be taken more seriously. 2)A revival of eva: including the renewal of eva dvd set (with new footage from the manga and better picture quality), a new manga series, and another anouncement said to be made in late summer by Gainax(the creaters of eva) 3)A possible best sci-fi movie out there complete with a 100 million budget, a multicultural cast, and Weta in charge of special effects. 4)A chance to see a different adaption of the favorite characters of the series in live action.

I'd bet if you didn't get to say "First", you'd just slit your wrists now, wouldn't you? Now as for Anime, I'd sure like to get a chance to FINALLY get to see Cowboy BeBop for myself. I loved the series, and I know I'm down for the movie. As for EVA... Don't get me started on EVA... FLCL? Cartoon Network? That'll be a travesty... >.< I can see the editors sharpening their scissors now...

...when it was at the Dobie and it was just okay. I have seen all of the TV series and it is had some really great, great episodes and some just so-so. "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" is one of the latter. If only it had more Faye Valentine and Ed.
