Thunderbird 1 was the 'main' one, it was the rocket shaped one. The green one was Thunderbird 2! That said, T-bird 2 was everyone's favourite :-)

I want to see a live action STINGRAY. Marina. Aqua-Marina. What is this strange and . . . er . . . Bye.
Which screening were you at?

I saw the Hulk yesterday as well, the first screening, and there wasn't any applause from us...maybe we were unhappier souls than the second screening audience (who were probably drunk from drinking in the sun anyway)but it looked like any teaser trailer rushed out to run with summer blockbusters - Ropey. Their were more laughs of derision than anything else...

Bartlebee, do you not remember the slight cheering that greeted the Thunderbirds teaser? After all, I was sitting just two seats along from you. You must remember. The Hulk? Didn't rock my world, but still better than I had hoped for. If that makes any sense. Like Spider-Man, you sense this is a character - and effect - that will be served in future movies. So come on Yank AICNers, get out there and make this movie a $200 million smash!
I love Thunderbirds but..

... the one thing I couldn't convince myself to suspend my disbelief over was John Tracy. Remember him. He's the one who lives all alone on Thunderbird 5 the Space Station, poor guy. It's amazing he never went insane or was busted by his dad on the monitor wacking off, surrounded by soiled tissues and drooling over pics of Lady Penelope. Any young man stranded orbiting the earth would go down that route sooner or later. Sinner.
Teaser Trailer

I would love to see a 30-45 second trailer in the same format as the beginning of the show Lightning crashes, 5..4..3..2..1 , the great music and 30 seconds of things exploding and crashing. I loved this bit as a kid it really got you excited for the rest of the show. But will it happen - unlikely. All the lawyers, accountants, marketing people who control the "product" etc. probably will think it a crap idea. They just dont get it do they?

It was humorous for half a second in the Toy Story 2 spots, but Jesus give it a rest. That song in previews for movies like Hollywood Homicide just let me know I needn't bother wasting my time. That said, "It's Big...It's Green..." pretty funny. Bill Pullman's gigantic chin smash puny audience expectations!
You Mean the Trailer DIDN'T Feature The T-Birds in Their Fruity

Hell, you want to make this flick interesting, make it a "fight to the finish" with the puppet Thunderbirds vs. The L.A. Thunderbirds rollerskating team (remember them?).

I never saw Thunderbirds, but I did see the one with the mermaid, Marina. I seem to remember it being in the same time slot with a navy-related cartoon that was so cheaply done, the dialogue scenes were static drawings with people's real lips super-imposed. Chicago-area TV from 5-7 AM back in the day, we hardly knew ye. When are they going to do that blockbuster movie version of "Gigglesnort Hotel", anyway?

I remember watching this as a child and thinking Tin-Tin was immeasurably cool. Much cooler than Lady Penelope, I thought. She never blabbed incessantly, nor made a fool of herself and most impressively, was always a part of the top-secret meetings with the guys. Now years later, I'm like, So that's why, she was a *secretary*.
Isn't "The boys are back in town" played in Toy Story 2 commerci

I've been reading the stories about the Tbirds and I can't help wondering: what the fuck are the Thunderturds? Who is Lady Penelope? Why does anyone give a shit?? Okay, okay... I'm not a complete nincompoop (I'm just an undead messiah, thus a bit slow) so I gather that this is some British TV show from the 60s or something and it involved wooden puppets. But who were the Thunderbirds, what did they do, why were they named after an American car, what was Lady Penelope's role, why do you like the show, why are they making a movie, etc. Can anyone answer these questions?
