The third SPY KIDS movie looks way COOL and looks like loads of FUN! I can't wait for July 23rd (it opens on a Wednesday now). STALLONE looks like he will make a good bad guy "Lets take this to the next level". I know Robert Rodriguez will bring out the best in Sly. All the bike stunts, giant robots and all the crazy things that will be flying out at the screen will make this such a FUN expierence

I'm missing out on what makes these kids "spies", but it is colorful just like the first two installments. The problem is that everyone is going to see this movie WITHOUT the 3D effect, and it just doesn't hold up without it.

The MPEG4 standard the latest versions of QuickTime are based on IS ALSO AVAILABLE FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER. The only effective difference between QT and Windows Media Player is that WMP is designed to play more file formats and to allow the installation of additional codecs, whereas with QuickTime you're limited to MPEG and you're stuck with whatever codecs Apple gives you. QuickTime's MPEG4 encoder, incidentally, is terrible compared to just about every other one out there, so there's absolutely no compelling reason anymore to even bother with the format.
Spy Kids fun and Quicktime!

Ok, one can denounce Quicktime all they want, but I've watched MANY a video clip/trailer/short online, and EVERYTIME QT looks a HUNDRED times better!!! This trailer and it's low quality (via high speed) is just more proof...show me a Real or Windows video clip that looks HALF as good as the latest large, or even medium QT trailer...oh, I'm sorry, IT DESN'T EXIST! As for Rodriguez's 'ecuse' for so-called 'poor' effects? Well, I've never read or heard him say that, and if he did, so what?!?! He's absolutely right. Many would say that Harryhausen's effects are dated and lame, but to a childs eyes, they inspire a sense of wonder, period! The effects in his movies may not hold to many big budget films, but they do entertain and they work on the level they need to, they help tell a story and they keep Roberts budgets low giving him creative control. I too can't wait to get a glimse of Once Upon A Time In Mexico! On a different note, Harry, will there be a Tarantino Fest this year? I'm needing that fix BAAAAAAAADDDDD!
Same 3D as Cameron's Ghosts of the Abyss.

Sorry about that hours apart double post, the reasons behind which, is too complicated to explain. Alright, the same as kind of 3d as in some Cameron-job....and what kind of 3d is that? I once wnet to see Warhols Frankenstien in 3d, and it was a cool and memorable experience. Now if this movie was presented with the same kind of 3d-system, I would consider going to see it, based on the visuals alone.....son anybody have got info on the 3d quality?

"And how are they still kids at this point?" Well, considering the first one came out less than two years ago, why is it a stretch? *** Something to consider when you complain about the FX: these movies cost a quarter what the Star Wars movies have, and were made in a year a piece - For less time and money than George spent on Clones, Rodriguez made a whole trilogy! (and don't forget, since he made them so dirt cheap, they're more profitable as well) And WiMP and Real ARE horrible formats...I haven't even been able to watch this damn thing yet...

I am really looking forward to this - only problem with the 3D is that I will probably only be able to watch it with some god-awful danish voices - if im going to watch the 3D effects in a cinema
Kids should eat this up, certainly...

Yeah, it looks hella cheesy, but that's the point. Any griping about bad CGI is a moot point, since the selling point of the movie is that it's set in a video game world. Oh yeah, and Alexa Vega kinda looks like the bastard offspring of Al Yankovic and Sara Gilbert...

Just about any one of the demos at this site mops the floor with QT: http://windowsmedia.com/9serie s/DemoCenter/VideoQuality.asp? page=6&lookup=VideoQuality Don't even bother with these unless you have a spectacular rig, but if you can handle it, this is true HD content (true 720p) via Corona.......a WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER codec. Ohmygodnoway! (Incidentally, this is the codec being used for the HD version of Terminator 2 that will be included on the upcoming "Extreme Edition" re-release.)

What's the point if I have to have the latest greatest 10 GHz megacomputer with a 60" Plasma screen to watch a demo? If I had the ultimate setup, I'd be pissed if it _didn't_ blow me away. On any normal computer QT is pretty damned close to DVD and I've never seen the WMP that could compare.

I'm looking forward to this. As has been mentioned before you got some tron-tastic, video game wackiness. As far as the 3-d system goes, Rodriguez said at SXSW that it was the same camera rig as Cameron, but they were going to use the red and cyan lenses for the glasses. It does look better than the red/blue pairs that used to be used in cinemas. I was so impressed with it that I decided to do Super Console Wars 3 in 3-D as well. Well impressed, but also wanted a cheap gimic as well.
