Your not gonna start talking about how these look liek they're from the game r u? I'm not saying Harry, the man, knowles doesn't know this but if you look at the bike it actually says SPY HUNTER. Well, unless they are making the sequel before the first one, which I wouldn't put past execs these days.I mean they did that with STar Wars. DId'nt they? Anyho, these are just deisngs or grabs from the game sequel. But if they are true to the game then this movie will rock!!! IT COULD LOOK SOOOOO COOOOLLL!!! Something to make up for no mroe matrix!!! BOOO HOOO!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK HARRY, as always!!!!

Midway just announced that they are making Spy Hunter 2 for the various game consoles. In the lower left corner of the motorcycle picture it says "Spy Hunter 2". I think these are screen captures for the new games. Sorry guys. The vehicle designs look pretty cool though. As long as the movie's better than XXX it should be pretty cool.

HARRY!!!! I'm dissappointed in you! I mean I enjoy the classic 80s spy hunter game.... but that is not news! Hero Bear and the Kid is NEWS! I expected you a comic book geek to be all over Hero Bear and the Kid, and the fact it's 2D WOW!!!!! I expect you to have Hero Bear and the Kid as the top of this site..... sigh, if anyone wants to know about Hero Bear and the Kid and the utterly breath taking work by Mike Kunkel's work (By the way he did amazing work with Kaare Andrews in Ultimate X-Men 37) check out their web site http://www.theastonishfactory. com/mainpage.html if this film is done right it could be up to par with the Iron Giant! Harry! Listen to me! GET MORE NEWS ON HERO BEAR AND THE KID!!!!!!!! It's the real movie project, and I don't see you jumping for joy on anything the rock is doing.

This is the second time AICN has run news about SpyHunter the movie featuring images used for SpyHunter the game. Anyway, this is actually one "The Rock" movie that I'm looking forward to. Now, I'm not a big Fast and Furious fan. In fact, I thought the first one looked ridiculous in the trailers. So I never saw it. I'm not too keen on the real life car modifying community, nor the street racing communty. I think both are pretty much overcompensating for some shortcomings and insecurities. However, being a fan of the SpyHunter game (old school, I didn't like the new one as much), it'd be cool to see The Rock as the man behind the wheel. He's charismatic enough, even if the real attraction to the movie is the transforming car. I guess that's where the Rock went after losing to Goldberg. He comes back to the WWE for a couple months, loses a big match, then disappears for half a year, then comes back. That's not too bad. Good deal, it keeps him working.

And Monkey's might fly out my butt. Seriously though Spy Hunter was the most fun I have had in the arcade as a child of the 80's. It ranks right up there with Double Dragon, Contra and Pacman. But i'll reserve judgement till I at least see a trailer, but for now these pics rock and I hope the film kicks all kinds of ass. Speakin of kewl cars, did you guys know that Ashton Kutcher wants is interested in the new Knight Rider film? http://www.geocities.com/the_o ther_view.media.html wait the guy doesn't want to be Superman, yet he will play an old 80's tv series star? It'll never fly. He better stick to jim carrey-ish goofball comedies.

up up, down down, left right, left right, b,a, start.......I remember when I beat that game, I might have been 11 or 12, and I was so excited, I ran up the stairs yelling to wake up my mother to tell her the news, nevertheless, she couldn't have cared less. But anyways, after that game, I was sucked in by BIONIC COMMANDO. They need to make that game into a movie.

I was lucky enough to meet Mike Kunkle and get an advance copy (autographed!) of Herobear and the Kid #1, many moons ago. I was in love from that moment on. Think "Calvin and Hobbes as superheros", and you've got an idea of the wonderful fun that this comic is. As a former Disney man, Mike should have no problems in turning one of the best indy comics of the last few years into the best American animated film since Iron Giant. I'm telling ya, get offline, gop to your local comic shop (Comic Book Box in the North Bay Area), and buy all the back issues you can get your grubby little hands on! You will not be dissapointed!

I agree until they sold out to Cinescape, coming attractions was about 1000% better than this bunch of expletive vomiting lead paint drinkers......... oh I'm sorry we're supposed to be at war with www.chud.com fighting for the honour of aint it cool.... well sorry this site lost its honour the moment it started to tow the studio line and Harry stopped being anti-establishment and started cashing in favours to appear in shit like The Faculty or got all expensese paid flights over to see the making of films which he (shock horror) gave great reviews to.... or let reviews like the god damn appaling no matter how ironic some dipshits claim, one for the matrix reloaded, which I know for an absolute fact will not have any press or public screenings until the 15th of may.... seriously General Fuck, if you want a war with a website take it out on this waste of time not chud.... at least they try and back up their info one way or another..... jesus Spy hunter shots from the game and its sequel with a fucking title saying just that on the pictures in water mark, what kind of an idiot do you have to be to believe for a second that this has anything at all to do with the film..... Oh I remember.... you need to run THE movie news website, and hope that your past glory non sell out past clout will make everyone blind and stupid..... or alternatively wage war on a reasonably ok "other" website to deflect the fact that in the last 12 hours theres been a masive drop in kudos all round.

The car looks great, I half-way expected there to be some kind of commercial tie-in to a real car manufacturer that has a similar looking car to the interceptor (like the Infinity G35), but am glad that they didn't. The motorcycle though, I'm skeptical on because it's supposed to pop out of the cockpit of the car, this just looks like a Harley with some guns and rockets stuck on it. Hopefully the car will turn into both the bike and boat modes like in the game. Hopefully the Rock will do well. I have faith in his skills. The Scorpion King would've been a great role for him if it had been as well written as some of the Conan movies and books were.

Who's directing? Who else is cast? At this point not much has been revealed about the actual movie, and we haven't seen 2F2F to know whether these writers kick ass or not. A concept can be done cool (--Die Hard, Raiders, Alien/Aliens, Ghostbusters) or uncool (--Sudden Death, Tomb Raider, Godzilla, Evolution). ... It's the craftsmanship that matters. Let's hope the the people involved here are serious about making this movie into a real Nick Fury / StarWars-on-wheels groundbreaking phenomenon... EARNING their success (and a long leg at the boxoffice)... not just another random lukewarm lazy half-assed corporate toss to fanboys that's forgotten a month later (XXX).

Harry's SHIELD reference sounds nice, but when Dave Goyer wrote that script Fox gave it a $2 budget, thus we got Hasselhoff on TV rather than a Hugh Jackman theatrical release by Dave Fincher. Imagine what could've been and it breaks your heart. Which direction will Spy Hunter veer in? It's a cool game, but will the film be a 21st century equivalent of the trend-setting Connery Bonds, or a pale wannabe?
How did John McT and John Carpenter lose it?

James Bond was starting to suck until Die Another Day hinted a new dawn for that franchise. Any real competition to Bond is going to have to truly go for the gold and put forth valiant effort... THAT's the ultimate source of audience loyalty (and worthwhile toys, sequels, etc). If only the Hollywood conglomerates would learn that. EX: Star Wars and Lucas's fade into laziness. 25 years ago he kicked ass; today's sequels lick ass. Advance buzz on Ep3 shows Lucas clueless about the effort that once made him interesting. Skinny, hungry, hard at work vs. Fat, full, and too pampered to sweat.

The Rock looks like he was genetically designed by JScottCampbell so he ought to be in comic movies. The fact that these guys actually got the original creator of Herobear to make its big-screen movie is a GREAT sign. When's the last time Hollywood treated nice guys like that? Universal must really be making Disney bite tongue over the fact that Eisner used to "own" Mike Kunkel but he jumped ship and now all their talent wants to go work for him. What's more fun - using your talents on an inspiring masterpiece like Herobear or punching the timeclock for condescending Treasure Planet schlock. Will SPY HUNTER wind into an anime series ala Animatrix? That red bike better be in the movie. Like Akira clusterbombing Streethawk. Those lil yellow mines could be marketed as logo-emblazed chewing gum.

Thanks for the pics, Harry. Being a fan of the current incarnation of the game, these pics get my heart pounding. The game is non-stop excitement, and hopefully this movie will be also. Should make a great car-chasin', things blowin' up real good flick. I just hope the filmmakers realize the emphasis should be on the action and the fun. Having The Rock in the movie can't hurt. These pics are certainly more exciting than that crappy Punisher picture posted yesterday. Keep up the good work Harry.

Alright, I rarely post anything, but I gotta say, Spy Hunter is an awesome idea for a movie. Alec Sect's job was always to hunt down other spies. So as a film, it can be a twist on the genre. You know all those BMW commercials from which those characters were featured in The Bourne Identity... Just imagine The Rock tracking down those kind of people, bad-asses, becasue they're rogue, or gone AWOL, defected, whatever....And let's not forget about that weapons van, either. I just wanna see it traveling high speed on a windy rode in the south of France as the interceptor races out in the opposite direction and pulls a hard u-turn. That's a money shot right there.

MASK was great, but my favorite cartoon from the 80's was GI;JOE. It was more of a Sterankoish/Nick Fury vibe than ordinary military. COBRA was basically HYDRA with better outfits.
