I gotta admit, if it weren't for my gf, I wouldn't watch this show at all. I mean, I think it's very good, but sometimes the drama (or MELOdrama) is too much for me. But I will skip the Fields episodes. But hey, Don Motherfucking Cheadle, people!! Huzzah!

Sweeps are the 2 times a year when the ratings for a month long period are used to justify the amount charged for commericals, so shows put their best stuff or stunts (ideas and casting) to get the best ratings. Buffy was a repeat because they dont start till Nov. 1st. The Thursday shows usually start it off since Our Thanksgiving is on a thursday and almost all the shows are preempted. So Buffy will have 4 new shows during the sweeps but E.R. wouldnt unless the start the sweeps a day early

How did Dr. Corday forget about her wedding ring? And didn't she forget to pick up her nanny? And when she was on the phone with the nanny, did she forget the patient's leg was falling off. And I think she forgot who a patient was early in the episode. Either she is developing a sympathetic brain tumor, or she has been dipping into John Carter's pain killers.

While not as good as at it's peak, it still stands hed and shoulders above a lot of TV. I don't care what some of you jaded naysayers say; it's still reliably good TV drama. And Maura Tierney is hot. 'Nuff said!
