Carly Pope and Leslie Bibb were one of the best-looking TV duos ever. Popular was underrated, baby.

I've started watching ER again...

I stopped watching ER during its fourth or fifth season, when it started to go downhill and the producers were adding characters that just sat around and did nothing. But I began watching it again last season; Abby's character has always been interesting, the producers got rid of useless characters like Dr. Dave, and the supporting characters finally began to develop. I know its easy to criticize the show for the slump it was in for awhile, but I think that's it got much better last year, and the season premere last week looked promising. Now if they would just find SOMETHING interesting to do with Kovac...

Check her IMDB page. She was some kind of patient or something in an episode. Weird.

I don't usually sling around the violent hyperbole but.. damn. The commercial for this episode makes me want to shoot out my tv. "A doctor.. [meaningful clips].. will learn the difference.. [more meaningful clips].. between life.. [more clips].. and death.." Oh good lord. What is wrong with these people? I thought the Every Episode Has a Twist Ending! And We'll Telegraph It For You to Make Sure there's No Surprise At All! trend was bad enough, but they keep getting worse.
Where be Drath?

ER is still one of the best shows on TV and all you whiners can take a long wall off the yadda yadda yadda. What I'm really here for is to here Drath's response to my assertion that Pratt is not a damn thing like Benton, aside from skin color. Pratt is a arrogant cowboy asshole, and while Benton was arrogant, it was an unspoken arrogance. Benton always kept his poise and dignity. Pratt has more in common with Dave Malucci, the other arrogant cowboy asshole from a few seasons back. Pratt is not a Benton clone, Drath. And I say again: get yer head outta yer ass.

TOE STEP TWO STEP...

OK, First, it says Kerry steps on Corday's toes... The later, it says Corday steps on Kerry Weaver's toes... :::eyeroll::: /// by the way, I just dig Alex Kingston. She was awsome in the "Moll Flanders" miniseries. FAR FAR superior to the lame Robin Wright Penn movie./// They should give her someone steamy to play with./// Also, I have enjoyed the K.Weaver character and the whole development of her story arc thru all seasons.
A proposal for a new WORTHWHILE petition!

I've got an idea for a new petition. NBC should allow the ultra-hot Maura Tierney to break one of the last remaining television taboos by giving us 10 minutes of full-frontal nudity with a wide-open beaver shot. Think of the dramatic ER commercial: "Next Thursday... a doctor will learn... what Abby's cooter looks like." Now THAT'S some must-see TV right there!
Redheads, Grief and The U.K.

What is UP with redheads who save lives, travelling to England to grieve over lost lovers? If "The X-Files" was still, Mulder would die and Scully would spend the summer in London. THen Scully, Corday and Willow can all share a pint o' Guinness in a pub in Sheffield! ;-D

Sorry about issuing the challenge, but Drath made a ridiculous assertion in the last ER talkback, and unfortunately, it got started pretty low down the scroll bar, and it ended before it got good. I just wanted to rekindle what i thought would be an interesting conversation, and maybe get more people involved this time. No offense Drath, I just wanted to hear you refute my last post.
RE Pratt and Weaver

I still think he's got all the same arrogance that Benton had, only he's younger and has less restraint. I'll give you this, Benton understood very early on that racism was working against him, thus his anger was usually on simmer, while Pratt(either unaware or unwilling to acknowledge it) hasn't done the same. There you have a difference. Malucci was like a really dumb Tony Danza without the heart, unlike Pratt he would not have learned from this most recent experience(or maybe I'm getting ahead of myself to assume Pratt will learn). I am glad they've shown us Pratt at home now, but I hope this won't be yet another doctor with a loser relative storyline. You probably think I don't like Pratt, but I do. I think he can become more than the replacement I feel he started as. -------------- Okay, I didn't expect Weaver to cry right there in front of Corday. I expected her to disappear into the restroom, whiping away her tears as she stared into a mirror, and then resolutly head back outside. I could be wrong, but I don't think she's ever shown weakness like this before to anyone. I really want to see what they do with her next week now. ---------- despite Corday's harshness this week, I really sympathized with her when she was walking away from the abusive patient in the hall. I don't usually have sympathy for *both* Corday and Weaver in the middle of a clash like that.
Weaver Crying??

OK, I have to know, because unfortunately, I had to get up and leave the room when the two had their conversation...What exactly did Elizabeth say to Weaver to make her cry?

Weaver took Corday aside because of her attitude, which led to Elizabeth accusing her of wanting to be "cowtowed to at every opportunity"(implying along the way that Weaver is trying to take Romano's job). That's it. Weaver's heard worse, Malucci's parting words "Nazi Dyke" come to mind. But I guess a lot of things just built up. I think it hurt her that she was genuinely sincere with Romano and yet was accused by him and others of wanting to steal his job. It still seemed out of character for her to cry in front of Corday though, so I'm guessing she's going to hand that brit her ass next week.
