So glad to see this report! With th emarket so bad in the past week. At 23 I bought a lot of Pixar stock, and that was before "A Bugs Life". Anyone know what the plot lines may be?

I tell you - not just movie bitching anymore kids! Pop-culture enthusiasts and day-traders unite! I would like to applaud the good folks at the Prudential for finding an even more duplicitous method of driving stock prices. Its like Public Relations, Marketing and e-commerce met and decided to gang fuck our poor naive asses.
Does that really mean it is good?

The person who sent in the original story did warn us, but I wonder how many people take it seriously. This is from a FINANCIAL point of view that these movies are going to be good. Does that mean they are fitting into a broader demographic? Or simply that some 50 year old men beleive that children will like it? I think the investors liked the clips because they are from Pixar more then they liked the clips for what they are. After all, Pixar is a great moneymaker with it's movies. Just don't let your guard down... Even great studios can produce poor movies, no matter what their track record is.
Does this qualify as insider trading? I'm not making a move

I must admit, I've never cared for Pixars stuff. In fact, I've never seen a Pixar film all the way through. I'm just glad they seem to be raising the bar for everyone else.

I don't have any money. Who so they think comes to this site anyway? 'Course I assume that this is some half-assed attempt to pump future films and stock prices at the same time. If it isn't - well, Harry might not be as connected as we thought; relying on frikkin' ACCOUNTANTS to get his movie news from. What a wierd article.

But i understand your thirst for knowledge on 'Cars'. I imagine it will be about talking cars reluctance to poison the enviroment or something, i'm probably wrong. But if it's Lassiter, it'll be original. Globex corporation will be buying out Pixar from those smug Disney gits very soon. I mean it's like the fall of Rome at Disney right now, their heads are stuck in churning out direct to video sequels to crap like inspector gadget, Lilo and Stich, no matter how good it may be, won't do that well, and we all know Treasure Planet will flop. Sorry to be cynical but that's just the way it is.

The person who posted this came from a yahoo pixr investment message board. i imagine they are always looking for ways to pump their stocks. and since aicn has readers, wheres a better place to lull more buyers to fill their pockets. little do they know that none of the aicn readers have any money.

first of all, the average film geek has about $3 in crumpled bills in his jeans plus bus fare in coins. if this is a feeble attempt to pump up the stock, as far as ol' jack is concerned, it is PRETTY DAMN LAME. second, harry.... are you getting as desperate as this would indicate? getting your tips from stockbrokers on how good films will be? SHOULDN'T IT BE THE OTHER WAY AROUND? shouldn't the suits be calling you for tips on movies if you are indeed supposed to make a living as A FILM EXPERT... "Harry, Chip Moebius here from Merrill Lynch.. about that new Bubba Ho-Tep flick. should i put a Buy, Short-term Buy or Trading Buy on the studio's futures? come on, harry... be a pal. i need to justify my 7 digit salary. give me a tip. i got killed on that Reign of Fire call you advised last week."

The Iron Giant is the most criminally over-looked animated film in years. It had such heart. Vin Diesel's best by a counrty mile. The end made me cry (..."Superman") - and I'm 6'2" 200lbs. Blubbering like Harry watching "Horsey: Spirit of The Cinammon Bun"

...the animation is frighteningly good. The "under the sea" stuff looks like it's been lifted staright from The Blue Planet series. If the script is up to Pixar's usual standards (A Bug's Life notwithstanding), this is going to top Toy Story on effects alone.
