Hopefully Gibson will do it. It will be his last hurrah in a great role. Hell, the film put him on the map in the U.S. didn't it?

Hopefully I'll get some feedback from a buddy of mine, who's training Willis for the MAN OF WAR film, on the Kevin Smith tragedy.

Why not bring back Tina Turner and make it her movie? It'd do about the same at the box office. This blows goats. I have proof.

I agree with Ewan McGregor that Baz Luhrman should have been nominated for Best Director, but I guess we should just be glad that the film (which I think is one of the best of last year) received as many noms as it did.

I'd rather have any Max than no Max at all, and I've never subscribed to the theory that only one actor can play a fictional role (some actors might play that role REALLY BADLY though) - Sherlock Holmes, James Bond, Harry Feversham, Clarice Starling?
Steve Bisley would be cool, but...

...it is clear that the series has well & truly run out of the black fuel. Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome was bad enough, but to do another Mad Max, where it will either just goes through the motions of Mad Max 2, or try to go off on some pretentious spiritual quest (MM:BT) is just making a movie for the sake of it. Let the series rest so it can have some degree of dignity.
Heath JUST DON'T FIT THE LEATHER.... he is NOT a sex bomb

Make a spin-off! but at least they didn't make Heath Ledger Mad Max.
This could be the same deconstruction of the Mad Max trilogy as

But you've got to have Mel there. Hell, you could stick Ledger in as a young protege of the weary road warrior, BUT MEL IS ESSENTIAL. And please, lets not have another 'Beyond the Thunderdome'.

They will fuck Mad Max up (yes, even beyond Thunderdome). It'll probably have a PG-13 rating, a rapper in a sidekick role, loads of ferral kids running about and no cool cars. Bring back the CAR!!!!

Would have thought the death of such a popular genre series star like Kevin Smith, who often carried many episodes of Xena and Hercules, would have gotten more than one line or two's mention on this site.

A friend works for Willis' production company and said that Smith fell from some scaffolding and after holding on for a couple of days in hospital with massive head injuries, succumbed. Other people seem to be saying it may not have been work related.
Kevin Smith... sniff

God, another actor I really liked dies. And only a few lines on AICN! WTF!!! Come on, Kevin Smith's passing should get a bit more attention from this bastion of fan boys... Kept watching my new Xena DVDs all weekend, Ares eps kept coming up... it's just sad, real sad... *** Oh, and briefly, at the end: Mad Max without Mel! Things really are going wrong down under lately!
