Ranma 1/2 Season 2 DVD Box...

What's good about this box is that Viz & Pioneer (who produce the disks for Viz) managed to keep the suggested retail price down to just $120, when the typical box set price for a season of an anime TV series is $200 SRP. This box set still sucks if you're like me and only want specific episodes, since the quality of RANMA 1/2 episodes is real hahazard following season one, varying wildly from episode to episode, plus I only care about certain characters and despise others. When it comes to back-catalogue shows, why can't more anime companies follow the Right Stuf's lead in releasing the entire CAPTAIN TYLOR TV series as a box set, but also selling the individual disks from the set, for those of us who prefer to buy anime in small installments?

CN most likely skipped airing "Cowboy Funk" again because of the two buildings Teddy Bomber blows up about halfway through the episode that look somewhat like the WTC.

Before you get too carried away with your crusade, you might take the effort to note that the original name of the film was "Rupan Sansei - Towairaito Jemini no Himitsu," and that last word translates to 'secret', not 'legend'.

Yeah, I heard about that new MasterQuest series, maybe by then Ash will have entered the Pokemon leagues. Though, there's no info here on the new 4KIDS deal meaning they'll have taken over programming for FOX KIDS including the new Kirby anime and that they're leaving WB to release the later Pokemon movies on their own. While I'm quite pleased with this news, I wonder what about Pioneer Entertainment which already distributes the Pokemon shows on videotape/dvd ? Would they be releasing the Pokemon movies instead of 4KIDS on their own label ? Anyway, hope to look forward to more from 4KIDS because I admit, I like their programming, it's just plain fun like the cartoons of old I used to like such as Transformers, Scooby Doo and such.

God! it starts off sooooo good and then falls flat on its face! they had a masterpeice in their hands and squandered it!

I'm not going to buy English dubbed anime on DVD - EVER. Get the rights to release bi-lingual DVD's or...heck...I'd buy just the Japanese version with optional subtitles on it. I already have most of these episodes as fansubs, but I, and many other people, would buy them. Either that, or sayonara.
CN showed Cowboy Funk!

Just finished watching episode 23 on CN, so that rumor was wrong. As an aside, I am getting tried of people bashing CN for editing. At least they are showing the stuff, which is a hell a lot more than most US networks do. Starting with Tenchi, got hooked on anime thanks to them. Have since moved on to the hard stuff (current fan-subbed series), but would never have realized what I was missing if CN had not offered that first free taste. The only draw back has been trying to justify the ~1K worth of DVDs this habit has lead to.

it wasn't a rumor, they skipped it on the Sunday showing, which has been the same as what they show the following Thursday up until now.
