I have a sneaking suspicion this Astrotrain character ripped his news off MY website. http://www.transfandom.com/ where we've been talking about this very thing for days.

This is the single most important Godzilla film since the original in 1954. Shusuke Kaneko is one of the hottest directors in Japan and has single handedly re-invented the Godzilla mythos for a future generation. This isn't like any other Godzilla you have seen. The new Godzilla movie is hardly "typical"

Funny. The pictures I've seen of Godzilla's redesigned look made it look much sleeker than in previous movies yet this guy uses the word "fatty." He calls the film typical monster stuff, yet every other review I've read has praised the film for being a bold step in a new direction. In fact, its so atypical of previous Godzilla movies that there are some Godzilla purists who have taken exception. He complains about some of the effects yet fails to mention that it was announced before the film that effects weren't completely finished. Guess would have been expecting too much for the reviewer to actually explain why he was disappointed. Oh well, everybody can just go ahead with their obnoxious "MAN IN SUIT" now chants rather than actually judging the film on its actual quality which is said to be very high.

Hey, I really didn't need to know that Gerard Depardieu's character will die and get resurrected in "Vidocq", as I haven't seen it yet! Goddammit!!!

The review above of the new Godzilla film sounded like this guy liked the American piece of crap better. From what I understand, this new Godzilla film is very atypical and in fact, King Ghidorah being a good guy instead of a bad guy alone should have tipped this guy off. K.G. was ALWAYS a bad monster and now he's a protector of Japan. Ain't it cool news sucks in the way of Godzilla web news and Monster Zero wins hands down for overall accuracy of info and respect for the genre. This web site always repeats info that's days if not weeks old and never usually gets their shit straight. This is just another example of why this web page has become a Hollywood wanna-be sell out. I was at a screening the other night of Bruce Campbell's documentary called "Fanalysis" and Harry is in it. Every time his face popped up on the screen the audience hissed and howled negatively. Why do you suppose that is? In short, I agree with you guys who posted before me on the new "G" film. Kaneko is truly a gifted director and is the only man to come along in ages who is truly trying to follow in Ishiro Honda's footsteps.
