Put actual scoops on here or none at all, Harry. After 4 years, I've seen a decline in quality info. I'd rather see fewer topics that are actually "NEW"sworthy, than read an old magazine article. (They begin to remind me of the standard month old "time killing reading" in the dentist's office.)

Actually, Harry, Pixar and Disney's Toy Story 3 wrangling is a lot more complicated than this. Pixars original production deal gives Disney four more films. However, Eisner is set on having TS3 be one of them, while Pixar is still under Disney's umbrella, and has (reportedly) been putting heavy pressure on Pixars people. I can't remember the details exactly, but I BELIEVE that the problem stems from Eisners insistence that TS3 come out with the Disney partnership still in existence. If Pixar makes 4 films first, their contract is fulfilled and Disney is left out in the cold. I've read something somewhere about Eisner attempting to strong arm Lasseter into doing TS3 by promising cut advertising and promotion for the originals if Lasseter doesn't see it his way. Conversly, Pixar doesn't REALLY want to strike out independently without the benefit of Disney's releasing arm, so they are using TS3 to negotiate a much fairer contract for the next go round.

On this site?Half the time the only page loading, is that pesky pop-up!It's not like the sites are being overloaded with traffic , theres very few posts visible on the pages I can actually get to.I used to come here several times a day ..but the pop-ups , real problems loading up pages and lack of any real *cool* news is really starting to show.As for Toy Story 3..why not? I prefered Bug's life to the Toy films ..but theyre still fun.

Just go to panicware.com and download Pop-Up Stopper. It's easy to download, easy to install, easy to use, and it doesn't get in the way. Best of all, it stops pop-up windows before they happen! Now that whoever reads this topic knows this, can they please spread the word so everyone can STOP WHINING ABOUT POP-UP WINDOWS?! It's driving me NUTS!!
This is sad.

A months old article. The rapid decay of what used to be my favorite site on the net (and my former homepage). And to top it all off, someone actually expresses a preference for A Bug's Life over the Toy Story movies??*** Anyways, Disney has a deal with Pixar, requiring them to give the Mouse their next few pictures. Eisner, however, does NOT feel that Toy Story 3 is included in this deal..in effect, he's trying to get Pixar to deliver an extra movie under this very pro-Disney arrangement. Let's hope Pixar can get on their own ASAP; they really have been propping up Disney these past few years, and it doesn't look like the house that Walt built is in any danger of shoring up their own weak animation department. *** And as an addendum, does anybody else notice the irony of Harry railing against the 'corporate evils' of companies like Disney, but his own bread-and-butter has been committing the same evils at an accellerated rate (poor service, slow servers, decrease in quality, corporate sellouts)?

"...the story focuses now in the little brat finaly growing up, and those toys going to the attic, or maybe going out on garage sale... anything but yet another "quest"..." Been done: "Brave Little Toaster." Could work though--especially if toys are separated widely and have to find each other.

Over the past 3 years ive came to this site sure ive seen stories that ive seen on other websites before here but above all else Harry Knowles is in a elite class for movie rumour and so forth scoops. His staff is top notch. I come here once twice a day to see his update to look at a review of a movie coming soon between him and Garth Franklin and a few other sites Harry Knowles is Da Man. So what if he puts up a story which is old hes just trying to keep new and exciting stories and not trying to appease some undersexed overweight CGC Player who makes movie rumours his life and knows all even more then comic book guy from the Simpsons. I find it ironic you take time to give these long talkbacks for a story you hate. Damn guys theres a real world out there.

The second Toy Story contained so many jokes related to the first movie, and wrapped up everything nicely, especially the way it ended with its big finale. You'd have to have a really, REALLY damn good script, or else it's just going to look like a sequel for profit only. But if anyone can pull it off, it's Pixar. Speaking of which, there sure is a lot of Monsters Inc. merchandise popping up already in stores, even so far as to sell related Halloween costumes... for a movie that opens after October! Now, where's my stuffed Sulley doll?

If it isn't, it will just look like a for-profit only sequel. But, then again, the second Toy Story was a for-profit only sequels, as are 99.9% of all sequels. I have faith that, if and when a third one will arise, the quality will be there, provided Lassiter is at the helm.

I have been a regular reader of this site for five years. I have tolerated the pop-ups(including the Iron Monkey ad which took over my browser). However, I cannot allow to have my time wasted by reading a story that is a virtual reposting of a story two months old which itself was copied from a magazine. Whether it was an honest mistake or just plain lazieness, it most certainly is not 'cool' and categorically is not news.

Does this mean that "The Invincibles" will not be a Disney release? Or are its characters already part of the Disney staple?

Why on earth would you post a message saying that you're allegedly going to stop coming to this site? To begin with, you'll be back tomorrow. Also, assuming you don't ever come back, why would we care? Why would Harry care? You're one self-righteous misanthrope who's sick of his valuable porn-time being wasted by pop-ups that finance the free content on this website. Damn... I'm sure Harry is forlorn over your boycott.
