Merrick here...
Early last month, Brett Ratner did an interview with MTV regarding BEVERLY HILLS COP 4.
A particular quote in the interview lead many to the logical conclusion that the new BHC project would have a considerably softer tone/rating than its predecessors.
When asked what is biggest challenge would be, Ratner seemed to indicate that his new film would be geared towards a very PG audience.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. On the way to my first interview of the Con, I got a call from Beaks telling me that Frosty Skywalker of Collider fame got beaned by a falling beam moments before and was rushed to the hospital.

Hey folks, Harry here with the Comic Con clip for PUNISHER WAR ZONE - really don't like the music, really think the junky scratches and print abuse looks like shit (done so much better for GRINDHOUSE) - but this looks pretty goddamn badass, eh? Enter your birthdate and enjoy! The below clip is thanks to Geek #3 from Movies.IGN.Com

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. After I posted the TRON 2 story earlier in the day, I did a run of 6 interviews, then hit a screening of FANBOYS. I just now got back to the hotel and I found a little info waiting for me in the inbox.
Disney is being incredibly secretive on this. I think they even sent out a statement that said essentially that there is no statement.

While Christopher Nolan continues to push Batman in a deathly serious direction, Warner Bros. Animation has, thankfully, decided to lighten up on the ol' Caped Crusader. So if you've been waiting for a Batman movie or television series you can watch with, y'know, kids (but still enjoy yourself), might I recommend BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD?

As far as I'm concerned, Thursday, July 24th, 2008 is a date that will live in Comic Con infamy as "The Day the Drapes Fell on Frosty." For everyone else, it'll be The Day Hugh Jackman Surprised a Packed Hall H and Unveiled a Money-Shot-Laden Teaser for X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE.

I am – Hercules!!
“Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle” grossed $18 million domestic. “Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo” grossed $38 million. If you ran Warner Bros., what would you do?
John Cho and Kal Penn are aboard. Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg, the team that wrote I and II and directed II, will write and direct III.
Find all of Variety’s story on the matter here.

Hey folks, Harry here... I talked to Rodriguez about RED SONJA in one of our recent chats - he's not directing the film as initially reported, but he is producing it. This poster though would seem to hint (hopefully) at the visual motif and style he's going for. That scarlet rose red hair on Rose as Red Sonja is stunning - and I'm very curious to hear the details from the panel today with Robert & Rose... Does he have a director yet? Are they cool? What sort of scale are we going to get? Why isn't he directing this? Who is? And why isn't he doing a giant CONAN movie?

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Holy shit! TRON 2!
I’m probably going to short change Dwayne Johnson and Carla Gugino here who were the majority of the Disney Panel, but HOLY SHIT! At the end they showed 3 minutes from TRON 2 which has been whispered about, but wait until you get a load of this:
The footage started with a computer generated guy peeking around a corner. He had light blue glowing lines on him. As the dude peeked around the corner a sound can be heard, a low rumble.

The X-Files: I Want to Believe: FAQ
(by Alexandra DuPont)
_____

shipper -- The term "ship" came from the X-Files fandom, when fanfics were written about Mulder and Scully. The fans then called themselves "shippers." It ... is now the title a person gives themself if they believe two characters should or will be together.

Harvey Keitel, who began his acting career as a German soldier on “Hogan’s Heroes” but may not have played a non-“SNL” TV role since 1974’s “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore,” has joined the cast of ABC’s “Life On Mars” as homicide boss Gene Hunt.
For those unaware, “Mars” is a remake of the 2006 Brit series about a 21st century detective who finds himself fighting crime in the 1970s. The American version is being overseen by the guys behind ABC’s purely awful “October Road.”

Hello Classic Film Enthusiasts, Harry Here - doing my best to call as much attention as humanly possible to this alleged print of LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT which was filed under THE HYPNOTIST and is apparently in an MGM vault waiting to be uncovered by someone from Time-Warner / Universal - SOMEONE that can preserve this miraculous hopeful discovery!

Merrick here...
A few weeks back we got a look at the unexpectedly promising looking MAX PAYNE trailer (HERE).
Two posters for the film have now been released, which you can find below. Like the headline says: I think these are pretty awesome myself...raw, inventive, unusual, compelling. And, above all, they're memorable.
What do you think?

Hey everyone. Capone at Comic-Con here. You know, for a convention that is rooted in comic books, they sure are screening a lot of comedies this year. So far, I'm good with that. Read on...

Hey, everyone. “Moriarty” here.
Can’t believe it’s that time of year again. Already, our on-the-ground team of Quint, Capone and Mr. Beaks have started to file reports from San Diego, and they seem to just be warming up. I've been listening in on some of their preparations, and it's amazing the stuff they've got lined up. I'm jealous of each and every one of them at least a half-dozen times already.
I’m only going to be at the convention for one day this year, but it’s going to be a fairly busy one.

It’s in your best interest to drop by the Disney panel at ComicCon, I’ve been warned, and not by Disney. By an anonymous source who claims this is one of three panels where there are going to be big giant unscheduled things a-happenin’.
Of course, that could just be a way of getting us to tell you to drop by the panels for Disney, Fox, and Dark Castle. But what if it’s true? What is this bombshell surprise that is planned?
