Merrick here...
Early last month, Brett Ratner did an interview with MTV regarding BEVERLY HILLS COP 4.
A particular quote in the interview lead many to the logical conclusion that the new BHC project would have a considerably softer tone/rating than its predecessors.
When asked what is biggest challenge would be, Ratner seemed to indicate that his new film would be geared towards a very PG audience.

With NINJA ASSASSIN, director James McTeigue has attempted to make what may be the first A-level ninja movie. To some, this is an admirable and utterly awesome undertaking; to others, it is madness.

Greetings! ScoreKeeper here targeting a flock of audio clips from James Horner's score for AVATAR (2009). I have to admit, I'm not a fan of listening to audio clips myself and have not done so in this case. I don't even really like listening to the score ahead of actually seeing the film. However, some folks are itching to be the first to wrap their ears around whatever morsels of score drop from the table of Cameron. And so, for you whom I speak of, I bring you these clips.

Hey folks, Harry here with a nice 15 minute or so interview with James Cameron in his lair, where he's working on finishing AVATAR... tick ... tick ... tick ... And yes, I saw the piece that 60 MINUTES did, but Morley looked a bit lost and out of his realm in the interview. This guy for CNN, he's a geek - you can see it. Now, he doesn't seem to be greatly informed, but he at least has a healthy appreciation for Genre work.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here taking a break from the Holiday Gift Guide to run a little spot o' news for ya' this morning. I love me some Steven Spielberg (obviously) and I love me some Hugh Jackman (WOLVERINE: ORIGINS notwithstanding) and more importantly I love the sound of this project they're doing together.

Hey folks, Harry here with not a typical story. Yes, I know that Moriarty is no longer writing at AICN. And I know that he's gone in hiding under the alias of Drew McWeeny - which couldn't possibly be real. And you may notice on his Twitatar, that he's plucked bald. How did that happen? The man, willingly, walked into a screening of OLD DOGS.

Hey folks, Harry here with the final late column, I hope, of 2009. This past week involved A LOT of work to nail various things regarding BNAT1138 down. And I was at one point thinking I’d never ever have time to do anything but BNAT – till BNAT, but thankfully the week worked out and I seem to be on track to get completely caught up. This usually happens a couple of times a year, usually during a trip, a film festival or my yearly BNAT breakdown.

It is strange how sometimes you can’t shake a single word from your mind when you see a movie. It is especially ironic, if that single word is actually a part of the title for the film, but I really can’t think of a descriptive word more appropriate for LOVELY BONES, because LOVELY BONES is absolutely lovely.
I know what you’re thinking. How can a film about the rape and murder of a beautiful 14 year old girl be anything other than traumatic, but frankly… the film is lovely.
