Don’t bother with talkback on this one; this post will vanish within 24 hours, just like the sale.
Monday it was “Lost” and Tuesday it was “The King of Queens.” It's upfront week, and it looks like Amazon might be celebrating by offering 24-hour series-set deals all this week. Up for today:

We've known for a while that a Lil' MAGNETO movie has been perpping for some time now...written and directed by David S. Goyer.

Hey, everyone. “Moriarty” here.
We’re a few weeks into the summer season, and I’m already getting e-mails from people fatigued by “big movies.” I love this time of year, but I recognize why some people would need some counterprogramming to keep them sane. So today, I thought I’d recommend three movies that are rolling out in limited release right now, and they’re all worth you seeking them out. They’re very different, though, so no matter what your tastes, you’ll find something here you should see.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. We got our first review in from a test screening of Zack and Miri Makes a Porno from Kevin Smith. It's a really positive review, but he has an issue with some of the drama. When reading the below review (spoiler alert, by the way) I get the feeling that the gut punch and anger was intended.
I'm excited to see this flick. Enjoy the review, but again... beware of spoilers and keep in mind this film is most likely still being shaped and probably will be a bit different when it hits theaters.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Hooboy, thanks to Oliver Stone's BUSH movie shooting and adding to its cast, we've already had some doozy talkbacks. However, nobody but nobody brings out the heated debates like Michael Moore.

Jan De Bont - great cinematographer (DIE HARD, THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER) turned not-so-great film maker (the pretty cool SPEED, the pretty dumb TWISTER) - is set to direct the long-rumored sequel to Kathryn Bigelow's 1991 action slick fest POINT BREAK.
The new film will take place 20 years after the disappearance of one of the criminal surfers (Patrick Swayze).

Hey, everyone. “Moriarty” here.
Emile was at the screening we went to at the Bridge. So was most of the cast. They were just hanging out at the edge of things. My son was with me, and this was a big night out for him. He’d spent the time before the movie charming the Warner publicists who were there. I let him work the crowd for me now... he’s better at it. He talked to Goodman. He talked to Silver. He made sure he got heard. But the one person who stopped him cold... Emile Hirsch.

When CBS announces its 2008-2009 schedule on Wednesday, its vampire private investigator drama “Moonlight” will not be on it, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The same story indicates that sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” will be CBS’ only sophomore series in the coming season. “Cane,” “Welcome to the Captain,” “Kid Nation” and “Viva Laughlin” were CBS series that didn't get beyond season one.

This news actually appeared last last week & evaded detection by many outlets. Since we've been covering the film extensively, this seemed like it was still worthy of mention:
The about-as-cool-as-cool-can-get Scott Glenn has been cast to play the about-as-uncool-as-uncool-can-get Donald Rumsfeld in Oliver Stone's W.
Rumsfeld (l) -vs- Glenn (r). I see it...

ABC is only adding two new shows this fall, and another two at midseason (if one doesn’t count NBC refugee “Scrubs”).
Two of the four new series are reality shows from Ashton Kutcher (“Punk’d,” “Beauty and the Geek”)!
The two new scripted shows are “The Goode Family,” an animated sitcom from Mike Judge (“Beavis and Butt-head,” “King of the Hill”), and “Life on Mars,” which, unfortunately, will now be overseen by the team behind ABC’s terrible (and just-cancelled) “October Road.”

Gonna Bring The Power!! PBS' ELECTRIC COMPANY Back On!! <br>
I am – Hercules!!
The Sesame Workshop is bringing back PBS’ “The Electric Company” to help 6- to 9-year-olds read (and, presumably, post in AICN talkback).
The original, which starred Rita Morena (“Cane”) and Morgan Freeman (“The Dark Knight”) and maybe Spider-Man, ran new episodes between 1971 and 1977 and repeats until 1985.
Read all of Variety’s story on the matter here.
