Ye Meng reports in on that Jet Li / Luc Besson movie thing: KISS OF THE DRAGON
Hey folks, Harry here... Ok, now I know how last time I reported on this project I was ejaculating every which way but loose, but ya know.... I'm sorry... that's just who I am. HOWEVER, now that we have a title for this film... and that the title has DRAGON in it... Well... Ya see the title of this Besson/Li flick is KISS OF THE DRAGON apparently... and ya know, if that's the title.... I'm ecstatic. It has that cool retro-y vibe to it.... And if the Gods are with us... the opening title will be some variation of Jet Li doing strobe motion kung fu.... and they should get Lalo Schifrin to score this muther... And having Bridget Fonda on board... well damnnnn, that's cool too. Here ya go with our man in China... Ye Meng....
Hi Harry!
Jet Li will co-star with Bridget Fonda in Kiss of the
Dragon (?). With the budget of $25 million US, it will
be written and produced by French director Luc Besson,
and will be co-directed by Jet Li and Jackie Chan's
long time friend Yuen Biao and another French man
(Christinaron?). Yuen Biao is also going to be the
fight choreographer. Although the pre-production has
already begun, the producing company refuses to give
away any detail of the script. However, some report
has suggested it will have many Luc Besson style of
action sequences, like gun battles and car chases.
What really interesting is, Point of No Return, in
which Bridget Fonda played the leading role, was a
Hollywood remake of Luc Besson's classic La Femme
Nikita.
