Hey folks, Harry here. About a month or so ago we heard rumors that Marvel's Bullpen was making a ugly cup hand of compressed air squeezed by squishing armpit sounds about the X-MEN movie. Word had it that MARVEL was distancing itself from the project... specifically the folks in the comic area.

I never ran this news because I couldn't get confirmation of the negativity. Whoever sent the original info had sent it to all the film news sites at the same time and frankly... That's a bit suspicious.

Finally I managed to get word from inside Marvel's comic branch about what they think of X-MEN.

It's not praise or dissing. Instead it's hopeful prayers. Down in the inkwells and by the pencil sharpeners.. the word is fairly mute. They haven't seen much more than you. And for the vast majority of those there... the first time they saw the trailer was on their computers like you.

The fact is, the comic folks are far more concerned that the executive branch of Marvel has such a 'Who Cares' attitude when it comes to the comics... and that the feeling they get is that the only reason they care about the comics is to turn them into films. And that overall... that's an attitude that is truly ruining and damaging the world of Comic Books. The Junk Bond attitude of building up a property then selling it off fast as can be.

You see... the folks at the drawing table are excited about the film... but with a certain amount of shame... You see, the want the movie to be great because if it isn't... those at the top might turn their backs on them. It's a scary world for comics people today. Turning ink and paper and the 5 panel page to a 24 frame a second piece of celluloid. And that's what my sources say the word is in the mighty Marvel tower...
