Many years ago, back around the time CUTTHROAT ISLAND was just a script, there was a project called CRUSADE that was full on ready to happen. We would have seen this movie about 2-4 years ago. The production was all set to go forward, until the addle minded dimwits at CAROLCO greenlighted CUTTHROAT ISLAND with Renny Harlin and Geena Davis instead of THIS MOVIE!

A fellow out there by the name of Geppeto, pulled a few strings and got me this image of their banner would have looked like. The film is still in development. Even though it is still THE BEST SCRIPT TO EVER BE ASSOCIATED WITH EITHER ARNOLD OR VERHOEVEN! A FILM THAT WOULD TURN ALL OF US INTO RAVING A.B. KINGS!!! Sigh... I'm sorry. It's just.. I sat down and watched CONAN THE BARBARIAN on Dvd tonight, and then saw this in my email box, and goddamn it, this movie should be on my video self as a video, letterboxed video and DVD by this point. The Soundtrack, which should be by Poledouris should be in my CD player right now. BUuuuuut Nooooooo... The Best Arnold film ever languishes because of a constant bit of swaying back and forth. HAGEN!!!!
