Whenever I think of post-apocalyptic, I'm instantly catapulted back to 1977's DAMNATION ALLEY - the first survivors-in-a-wasteland movie I ever saw, and the only one that made me cry. Having seen it more recently, I'm not sure what the hell kinda wussyfication befell me in that given moment - but I do remember developing a phobia of giant mutant scorpions, really wanting a Landmaster, fearing I'd awaken one day to find the sky looked like the background of an second rate rock concert, and yearning to do something with Dominique Sanda (even though I was too young to know what actual "doing" was).
