Schumacher to direct TWELVE! Comic lovers relax, it isn't THE TWELVE.
Hey folks, Harry here... Variety is reporting that Joel Schumacher (LOST BOYS, BATMAN & ROBIN, TIGERLAND) has landed the gig to direct Nick McDonell's teen drug & lust story called TWELVE. This is actually material that is probably the closest material to Schumacher that he's helmed thus far. Joel had a very, shall we say, eccentric youthful experience, prior to becoming a director which may in some small or large way be reflected in the story about a high school dropout and drug dealing kid all in the Upper East Side of New York. The film will feature Kiefer Sutherland, Ellen Barkin, 50 Cent, Rory Culkin, Chance Crawford and Emma Roberts. Sounds like very strong material for Joel.
Still waiting to be announced is who will make a film based upon the awesome Timely story of THE TWELVE. Sigh... another long day of no news passes... sniffle...
