Updated! Live in Chicago? Wanna see the new retro genre comedy ALIEN TRESPASS? Capone has the details!!!

Update: I just got word that ALIEN TRESPASS director R.W. Goodwin will not be able to make the screening for a Q&A, so if this is a dealbreaker for anyone who has already entered the contest, let me know ASAP and I'll take your name out of the running.

Hey folks. Capone in Chicago here. Next week is going to be insane in Chicago. In addition to the AICN screenings of THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT and I LOVE YOU, MAN, I've got one more preview opportunity for folks living in or around the Windy City. And this one's a bit different than the other two, in that, you probably haven't heard much about it, if anything. The film is called ALIEN TRESPASS, and it combines comedy, horror, and sci-fi in a way that I'm hearing is pretty great. I'm seeing the film early next week, so I'll know a bit more about it when our screening rolls around. But what I'm hearing from those who have seen it is that they weren't looking forward to seeing it going in, but ended up really liking it. This is one of those rare opportunities to walk into an unknown film and (hopefully) walk out buzzing about it, ready to tell your friends. Look at this as a chance to discover something potentially really cool.

To maybe sweeten the deal, the film's director R.W. Goodwin (best known for directing many great episodes of "The X-Files") will be on hand for a Q&A with me after the screening. From what I'm hearing, the film is not only set in the 1950s, but the style and look of the film mirrors genre works made in that era.

ALIEN TRESPASS will screen Thursday, March 5, 7:00pm at a Chicago theater. Only the winners of this contest will be informed of the screening details or be allowed in the screening. Do not enter this contest if there's even a slight chance you can't come. This is not an exclusive AICN screening, but I do have about half the theater to fill (about 75 seats). Please plan on arriving early to make sure you get a seat.

Here's how to win. Send me an email at capone@aintitcoolmail.com with the subject line: "ALIEN TRESPASS". In the body of the email, I need your full name, whether or not you are bringing a guest (no guest's name required), and the name of your favorite film that successfully combines comedy with horror and/or science fiction.

Winners will receive an email from me with the details of the screening. I've got a lot of seats to fill, so start entering. Believe me when I say, you want to see this movie. Good luck! And stay tuned--I may have one more contest for Chicago folks before I head off to SXSW.
