UPDATED !!! Live in Chicago? Want to see the highly anticipated vampire flick LET THE RIGHT ONE IN? Capone has the details!!!
UPDATED--Hey folks. I'm shutting this contest down at midnight tonight (CST) because I've already gotten enough entries to fill this contest 10 times over, no exaggeration. Good luck everyone. I can't wait to read what your favorite vamp flicks are.
Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here, poking my head into the sunlight for the first time since the Chicago International Film Festival (which actually ends tomorrow, but who's counting). I said I was taking a little break from contests for a couple of weeks while I covered the CIFF, and as soon as my eyes popped out over the edge of the gopher hole, people started coming at me with screening offers. We'll start out slow today and work our way into a pretty major contest in the next couple of days.
As for now, I've got a handful of passes to one of the most anticipated scare films of the year. Now I love me some vampire movies, and I literally have been hearing about and anticipating this movie for most of 2008, and now that I've finally seen it, I can tell you that LET THE RIGHT ONE IN is one of the most unique and emotionally satisfying vampire films I've ever seen. And it's certainly one of the scariest things you'll see this year.
The screening will take place Thursday, November 6 at a theater in Chicago at 7:00 pm. Winners will be told in an email from me the location of the screening.
This will not be an exclusive Ain't It Cool event; so if you win you'll need to get to the theater early. I've been told this has not been substantially overbooked, so as long as you arrive with time to spare, you should be good to get in.
Here's how you win. Send me and email at capone@aintitcoolmail.com, with the subject line YOU HAVE TO INVITE ME IN!!! In the body of the email, I need your full name, whether or not you are bringing a guest (if you don't say +1 in your email, I'll assume you are flying solo), and the name of your all-time favorite vampire movie. Don't get clever or pick a movie that isn't a vampire movie; I'm looking for fangs, people--fangs and blood.
If there's even an iota of a chance that you won't be able to make this screening don't enter. I've been given about 50 seats to fill, so every winner needs to show up or risk being labeled a colossal douche nozzle by me. I may even have to ban you from future screening if you win and then don’t' show up. This movie is too good to miss.
Good luck, fang bangers!
