One of the actors from THE SIGNAL endorses the AICN screening of TRICK R TREAT!!!

Hey folks, Harry here... It's just sad that this film isn't here, right now, nationwide. The world is hungry for a great HALLOWEEN movie - and that doesn't mean another Michael Myers flick, it certainly doesn't need another puppet torture porn flick... But a PULP FICTION-esque story set in the world and atmosphere of Halloween itself. A film about the rules of Halloween, about the joy, the frights and the fun of Halloween... both the tricks and the treats of this great friggin holiday. It is a foolish waste of potential to simply release this straight to DVD. This film deserves and screams to be released in theaters. To squander that opportunity would be a shame. Warners has missed this October, but if they work now - they could hatch a release in March - with a DVD campaign for next October - That's what to do, right? What'd you other readers think that saw it tonight? Write in to Moriarty and I and let us know...

Hey bud!

Hope you're well. Just got home from Mann's Chinese theater in Hollywood where Moriarty was good enough to help provide a screening of Trick r Treat along with Legendary Pictures.

The turnout was retardedly massive, I think they ended up herding people into 3 different screens.

I was rocking it solo, my wife bailed since she's got to work very early. I subject her to countless hours of horror films every week so I couldn't complain.

Michael Dougherty, the director, introduced the film and Legendary tossed out some t-shirts. One of which I caught and, after trying it on once I returned home, realized they were specifically made for 10 year old girls. No sweat. Not my reason for being there. I was there to see this effing movie. Finally!

I was not disappointed.

This movie is the best Halloween film in 30 years. It encapsulates the nostalgia, the smell, the shivers of a chilly Hallow's eve I grew up with when friends went door to door without fear or a curfew. It's everything Halloween III and Creepshow III should have been. The scares are there, the comedy works well, and the running time is perfect.

Nothing can touch Carpenter's original, but this is definitely in my top 3 Halloween night movie roster. I like hanging at home, putting on scary flicks and rewarding young ones with awesome candy and goods
when they brave my doorstep.

Carpenter's Halloween, '78.

Exorcist III

and now, Trick r Treat.

This isn't really a review, I'm sure you've got plenty of people writing in with those. This is just one more endorsement for a fantastic film, for horror fans, by a horror fan. I really wish this would have been released this October, it would have found it's audience.

Thanks to Drew and Legendary for this very very sweet treat!
