Alrighty folks, looks like we're gonna have a start from scratch go again at the ol SUPERMAN movie thing. In today's Variety.Com they mention that Bill Wisher (co-writer of T2) is now attached to write (from scratch) a new SUPERMAN script based on the 'Death Of Superman' storyline. An idea I would personally be all for them abandoning. Odd place to restart the franchise. But hey... whatever floats their boat. However, Wisher has committed geek offenses in the past with scripts for ERASER and JUDGE DREDD coming to mind. His draft for EXORCIST IV, that I read, was a bit lacking... but had quite a bit of potential. Personally I'm all for Nick Cage jumping ship from SUPERMAN, heading over to the Wachowski's... Asking to take a look at their PLASTIC MAN script which kicked total ass, and doing that instead. But hey... that's just me. I mean.. gosh... It's just a great project that Cage would be perfect for, and would be teaming him up with the coolest pair of hardcore action directing brothers around.

Too much to ask I suppose. Meanwhile, the SUPERMAN process will begin again. Of course Jon Peters is still attached so... it kinda has to end in a headache, but hey... maybe if Warners takes Advil and dumps the headache, we can have a clear headed project on the horizon.
