“The Mentalist,” one of the season’s top-rated new shows, just got a full-season pick-up from CBS. But NBC is so iffy on its fall slate that the 4th-place network just ordered more “Medium” scripts with an eye to bringing Glenn Gordon Caron’s psychic series back before its usual midseason debut.

All other current shows, including “Don’t Forget The Lyrics,” “Prison Break,” “Ugly Betty,” “My Name Is Earl,” “Private Practice,” “Heroes” and “Chuck,” all received full-season orders before the season began. “90210” and “Fringe,” like the "Mentalist," received full-season orders not long after their debuts.
