Departed cast members Anthony Edwards and Noah Wylie have been lured back for episodes of NBC's fast-approaching final season of “ER,” but producers apparently don’t want to stop there.

"I know they want to do everything they can to bring everybody back," Edwards tells TV Guide. "But who knows what'll happen?"

Will George Clooney, who left the show to pursue a big-deal movie career, turn up at County General one last time?

He "would be a fool not to," says Edwards.

Clooney apparently remains friendly with “ER” producers, who let him shoot a scene of his short-lived HBO series “Unscripted” on the medical drama’s set three years ago.
