We're long overdue for bicycle movie...especially a bicycle messenger movie.

In fact, the only one that pops to mind (and correct me if I'm wrong) is that Kevin Bacon movie called QUICKSILVER back in 1986. Anyone out there remember it? It also had Jami Gertz (whose image I spent considerable private time with in my youth), Louie Anderson, and featured one of Laurence Fishburne's earlier roles.

Seems DreamWorks is angling to bring us a new bicycle messenger movie...one that vaguely evokes QUICKSILVER (but not too much, and it doesn't have Fishburne or Gertz either...at least not yet). It's called C.O.D.

Its....

...story line centers on a Manhattan bike messenger who becomes America's most wanted man when he's forced to deliver three bombs under threat of his family receiving one. He must avoid capture by the authorities while trying to deliver the bombs with an entire nation looking for him.

Sounds like this could be fun in a SPEED or ENEMY OF THE STATE sort of way. This comes to us from a new screenwriter named Lars Jacobson.
