Well, according to this spy, something very dirty and potentially very funny. Still haven’t seen BARTLETT, but I’m hearing a lot of solid buzz on it. If this is what he’s doing next, it sounds like it could be wicked fun.

I interviewed "Charlie Bartlett" director Jon Poll recently, and he talked a little about his next project, "Something Borrowed." It sounds like a jump from the indie sensibilities of "Bartlett" to broad, Jay Roach-like mainstream comedy (Which makes sense, since he's been Jay's editor on several occasions). It's going to be a "hard-R," he said. For raunchiness throughout, I guess. Actually, on second thought it sounds more like pre-"Shallow Hal" Farrellys.

Anyway, the couple at the center of the story (She's a conservative! He's a liberal! Oh no!) is newly engaged, but the gal (Anna Faris is in talks) has a Louisiana grandmother who's into voodoo. For some reason (he didn't elaborate), she performs a curse and switches the bodies of the two. Poll went on to describe several scenes in detail, including one where the guy spends all day fingering his fancy new vagina (I would too, if I quantum leapt into Anna Faris' privates), and another where the bride and groom-to-be attempt to fuck whilst occupying each other's
bodies. The guy-as-girl's line: "One ground rule: I'm not sucking my own cock."

The body switching thing has been done, sure, but I'm all for more R-rated comedies.
