Ghost House finds a Kiwi horror flick called THE TATTOOIST!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a little update on Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures. They've put out some successful horror flicks, but none that I've really loved, but I still love the idea of a horror outfit run by Raimi and Tapert.
Looks like they found an indie flick in New Zealand to put out here stateside. The trades say Raimi came in to help guide the post-production and the final cut, but they also say the post is still going on and I know the flick already had a small, unsuccessful release in New Zealand. Maybe Raimi came in to help a recut?
The flick is called THE TATTOOIST and is directed by Peter Burger from a script by Matthew Grainger and BLACK SHEEP's Jonathan King. It's about a US tattoo artist who delves into the world of ritualistic tattoos (Samoan specifically) and somehow unleashes an angry spirit with one of his works.
Sounds out there. Thoughts?
