On September 25th, Sony releasedTekkon Kinkreet on DVD, Blu-ray and UMD. Michael Arias helmed the Studio 4°C adaptation of Taiyo Matsumoto's manga, and he produced something that is new and significant. It's not offering more of what has been seen before. Tekkon Kinkreet is not another Mind Game or another Hayao Miyazaki film or another Katsuhiro Otomo film. It's an immersive experience in a unique environment that engages concerns about urban development and human dependencies.
To mark the occasion of the release, our Taiyo Matsumoto-style self portrait contest has awarded five prize packs that include:
