Natalie Portman has BROTHERS in Spider-Man and Donnie Darko!!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Yet another piece of remake news... holy shit! This time it's not a classic horror film or a British TV series, but a foreign film being remade. Like the news of Marc Forster doing THE JURY, this one has some fascinating talent involved.
The movie being remade is Susanne Bier's Danish film BROTHERS and Jim Sheridan (IN AMERICA) is helming the US remake.
The story revolves around a man who goes off to fight in Afghanistan and entrusts his wife and child to his black sheep brother.
Natalie Portman just signed off to play the wife, Tobey Maguire is playing the soldier and Jake Gyllenhaal is the black sheep brother. Of course a love triangle develops and the drama is thick. David Benioff is scripting.
