Hey folks, Harry here... Every now and again, it is really damn cool to run one of these sites... like today, when I got given an advanced look at the redband trailer for the Coen Brothers' NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN.

Sure - I should have been at Cannes watching the whole damn film early, but alas - this has been a complicated year, thus far. But today I got a look at a classic - I WANT TO SEE THAT NOW - trailer.

www.NoCountryForOldMen.com - if you go there now, you won't see much... but at some point tomorrow - you're gonna get a peek at Javier Bardem being... a fricking psychopathic badass. Killing with a macabre southern glee. His face looking like something from a CREEPY magazine. There's an odd echo of Martin Landau's Bela Lugosi.

The trailer begins with Javier pulling a man over in a cop car... asking the man to get out of the car... you see that Javier is carrying a tank with a hose and some sort of device on the end of the hose. He asks the man to hold still - and ... I think he gets killed with compressed air. It's freaky and immediate.

There's a series of shots to show just how isolated and smack in the middle of nowhere they all are. Frames get flooded with blood, sometimes isolating an element here or there. You see mountains, a lonely windmill that turns red with blood as we learn this is based on a novel by Cormac McCarthy.

Then you see a figure walking alone on the prairie, that's revealed to be Josh Brolin... he's got a rifle across one shoulder and a pair of binoculars around his neck. He sees a bit of blood in the dirt, then several trucks and some bodies dead, then a dead dog, then a satchel loaded with $100 bills in their bank wrappers. Then blood fills the screen with the words, "ONE OPPORTUNITY CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE."

You see him taking the money to his room as his girl friend asks what he's doing, and he answers her honestly - then blood fills the screen with the words, "ONE MISTAKE," then a shot of Josh filling a gallon jug of water, then a shot of Javier driving at night with the bleed in, "CAN DESTROY IT" - from there - we see Javier killing non-stop and various law enforcement types played by Tommy Lee Jones and Woody Harrelson assessing the situation.

The overall feeling of the trailer is that Javier is a nightmare - and that Brolin is most likely fucked like a resident of a chicken ranch.

In many ways - this trailer reminds me of the original HITCHER, but with better shots, actors and story set up. Can't wait for y'all to check this trailer out - and then the movie in late November. This will be one of the best movies we see this year!
