Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. So, Ron Howard has once again thrown his name onto another property, proving that he's on track to become the director's version of the Brothers Weinstein. What's he attached to now? A dozen movies? Remakes for CACHE, COLOSSUS, then FROST/NIXON and the DA VINCI CODE prequel ANGELS & DEMONS... I'm forgetting some, but damn Howard! Give someone else a chance!

This time it's a flick for Universal, an adaptation of a novel by Claire Messud called THE EMPEROR'S CHILDREN. No, it has nothing to do with STAR WARS. It's about the rich upper crusters, Ivy League kids that begin to freak out as the big three oh approaches. Can't say that little description gets me excited, but the script is written by Noah Baumbach, who wrote and directed THE SQUID AND THE WHALE recently. That was a good little flick, so I'll assume the trades are just glossing over the premise. Thoughts?
