Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I like Sarah Polley and Jared Leto fine. Sure. They've both done good stuff and Polley in particular really impressed me with her directorial effort AWAY FROM HER earlier this year.

But it was the description of the flick, MR. NOBODY, which grabbed my attention, not the fact that they were starring in it.

It's set in the near future and focuses on Leto who reminisces at the age of 120 about his marriage. Some of it is real, some of it is imaginary. Oh, and he's also the last mortal man on earth. Every other person is happily immortal. I don't know exactly how they're planning on explaining this, but I'd bet it has to do with the emerging gene therapy that is said to stop our DNA from breaking itself down (ie stop aging).

That is fascinating material to me, but I doubt they'll focus much on it. Instead the butterfly effect/chaos theory is supposed to be a central theme.

Belgian writer-director Jaco Van Dormael is helming this flick, which he's been trying to get made for 6 years now. I'm curious to find out a bit more.
