I missed this when it first ran, but on Saturday night, I ran into Eric Watson, Aronofsky’s producer, and he mentioned that there was a piece in THE GUARDIAN I should read. I wish I’d read this before, as I would have asked him more about the project. It sounds like Aronosky is fascinated by the story about Noah after the flood, a man on the wane whose destiny is already fulfilled. Who knows if he’s using this as a metaphor, a way into a modern story, or if he’s actually planning a Biblical-era film?
