Appian and WB wrestled the rights away, bidding up Paramount and Brad Pitt's Plan B, when Jordan Belfort's "tell-all autobiography" called THE WOLF OF WALL STREET was on the block. It's about a stockbroker who spent almost 2 years in prison for not cooperating in a securities fraud case in the '90s. The case uncovered mob ties and massive corruption on Wall Street.

Terence Winter (SOPRANOS) is adapting the book.

Scorsese and DiCaprio aren't under contract, but they are expected to reteam for the project... And it seems every week Scorsese is announced at being attached to something else. DiCaprio, too. Recently he was announced as co-starring with Kate Winslet again on Sam Mendes' REVOLUTIONARY ROAD.

Who knows what the hell Scorsese is going to end up doing, but add another log onto the fire. He's becoming like Spielberg... not happy unless he has 6 projects spinning at once...
