I am – Hercules!!

All kinds of cool info related to the future of “Heroes” are starting to pile up. Normally I’d save it for Monday, but I understand we’re getting another advance review from Canada Sunday night, so why wait?

* Numerous sources indicate season one will contain 23 episodes instead of the standard 22.

* Jack Coleman (Jack Bennet) revealed on a Los Angeles radio show Monday that episode 20 (this coming Monday’s episode is 18) will be set five years in the future. Other reliable sources indicate it’s five years since Manhattan was evaporated.

* Writer-producer Bryan Fuller, who authored the stellar Jack Bennet flashback episode, confides to Ain’t It Cool that episode 20 is his favorite to date, noting “everyone's future is some bleak shit.”

* Greg Grunberg tells the Onion AV club:

We're shooting an episode… we're about to shoot, where it's five years in the future, and it's not the Matt Parkman that anyone is used to seeing. My character is in a place that is really dark, and I'm not going to play it like this menacing, evil guy. I'm just going to play it as normal as possible. That, to me, is the way to make the most impact. Let the actions speak louder than the words. Horned-rim Glasses, Jack Coleman, has that job on our show, and so does Zach Quinto, who plays Sylar. It's like he's got to put on a face, and when the character he's talking to turns away, his face drops and he's evil. That stuff's really hard to do without looking corny. So I'm not planning on adding any extra pressure to me to be heroic. I'm just going to do what I do, and hopefully people buy it. I want to be as real as possible.

* Finally, in a new interview with scifiwire.com, series mastermind Tim Kring says we should expect season two to be different from season one:

"We could have new people and new storylines and new ideas and new threats and new bad guys and new heroes. So I would prepare the audience for that idea, that it's not just a continuing serialized storyline about only these people. It's a little more the 24 model than the Lost model."

But who, one wonders, is the Jack Bauer of “Heroes”?
