...with a little news concerning "the beginning of the end" for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Regular readers may recall that DS9 is, for all intents and purposes, coming to a conclusion at the end of this season with a massive two hour season finale.

To set the stage for the big event, Paramount has started circulating a special "teaser" comprised of footage from previous DS9 episodes. Said teaser (more or less) lets you know that everything you've seen on Deep Space Nine "all comes down to this!", these final moments.

As a side note, anyone who has access to the finale's script, I sure would like to see it. Note the P.O. Box address at the bottom of this page, and remember you can send to said box without a return address (to preserve anonymity). If you want me to keep my mouth shut about having read it, just say so. We do that all the time around here...

In other Trek news, www.gallifreyone.com is reporting Paramount's intent to release THE ORIGINAL SERIES on DVD beginning this Summer, shortly after the much-maligned Star Trek: Insurrection bows on DVD in May. It should be pointed out I have not been able to confirm or refute this information, but franlky, I've not the sourcing to do so.
