Go For A Ride With The ZODIAC!! Clip Here!!

Merrick here...

We've been provided with a clip from David Fincher's ZODIAC, which opens March 2. I'm guessing the clip is about Kathleen Johns - who went on a harrowing, late night ride with the killer for several hours.

Robogeek pointed out THIS ARTICLE in the New York Times. It's very interesting, and worth checking out. It talks about the film being shot straight to harddrive, and how Fincher would pretty much determine what takes he wanted to "save" as he went.

(Gyllenhaal)
But sometimes we’d do a lot of takes, and he’d turn, and he would say, because he had a computer there” — the movie was shot digitally — “ ‘Delete the last 10 takes.’ And as an actor that’s very hard to hear.”

This trips me out...seems this would seriously undercut the amount of material to chose from in editing & give rise to potential misjudgment about what to throw out. Then again...he's David Fincher, and I'm not, so I'll just shut the hell up now.

Here's the clip:
