I am – Hercules!!

That low moaning you hear is coming out of “Prison Break” fans just now learning that their favorite convict drama has been pre-empted so Fox can air two full hours of “24,” hours dealing with the ugly machinations of Jack’s super-evil corporate daddy.

Also? Chloe is relieved of duty because she’s too distraught over Morris’ kidnapping. Reed talks Tom out of resigning, suggesting sinister veep Noah Daniels may soon be running the show. Fayed uses a drill on Morris’ arm. And Assad refuses a presidential request that could save many American lives.

If you missed this week’s TV Guide, it contains a mini-TV Guide (kinda the size TV Guide used to be until about 18 months ago) devoted to “24” – which, like TV Guide, is owned by NewsCorp.

Pick it up if you dare; it’s loaded with juicy scoop, much of it dealing with episodes airing after tonight. Invisotext ON!

Revelations include:

* President Charles Logan, who returns next week, now has lots more facial hair. The photo suggests newly installed President Hal Gardner gave Logan a pardon, which is probably why Wayne Palmer now commands the presidential bunker.

* Aaron Pierce and Martha Logan will be getting together again.

* Producer/director Jon Cassar maintains a list of all the characters who disappeared without perishing in prior seasons, among them season two’s Lynne Kresge and season four’s Behroooooooz!

* At least three cast members are doomed this year, but it’s unclear if one of those three is Curtis Manning.

* The medal around Jack’s neck at the end of season five does carry meaning that will be revealed.

* “I can’t see it happening at the moment,” Cassar says of a “24” movie.

* Chloe’s new look is supposed to reflect the growing up she did last season when she watched Edgar die.
