A while back, we posted a piece of concept art from the forthcoming UNDERDOG movie. You can see the piece HERE.

David Chase has returned with more images...more concept art from the film.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that the film won't capture the visual texture the artist is going for here...which is too bad. I wish more directors would realize their images in the tone in which they're rendered in pre-production (or at least consider the atmosphere being posited by the artists).

I mean, imagine the vibe of some of that awesome Ralph McQuarrie pre-production artwork for STAR WARS actually being captured on-screen .

Not sure if I'm making any sense here...these notions may be too esoteric to convey. But, if you're a Geek who wonders why the end-product often doesn't pack the same punch as the earlier designs...then that's what I'm talking about.
