Something Weird Video unearths Brian DePalma's thought lost MURDER A LA MOD!!!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a bit of news for you Brian DePalma fans like me. I couldn't quite bring myself to see BLACK DHALIA in theaters because of friends across the board that got to see it before me told me it was weak. Even those that love DePalma. I'll see it eventually because... well, it's De Palma.
However this news has gotten me excited. In 1968 DePalma's MURDER A LA MOD was released in 1 theater and quickly disappeared and was thought lost. The movie stars William Finley (Winslow Leach, aka THE PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE) and has ice-pick murders and "anticipates" snuff films.
Something Weird Video, in their quest to keep these types of films alive, have put together a digitally remastered DVD. "Paul" sent in the good word after seeing a mention pop up on NY Post's Page 6 today. Pretty cool. Can't wait to give this one a look!
